🎶 Nineties Friday Tunes! When Punk Rock Went Mainstream! Part 2! 🎸Four Tune Friday On Nineties Friday Tunes 💿 + Double The Tunes!

On this #FourTuneFriday on Nineties Friday I’m covering the big 3 bands who didn’t just have a mainstream one hit wonder or one album flash in pan but instead had multiple huge albums in the nineties and beyond (Green Day Offspring Blink182) and for fourth pick I throw in Social Distortion who wasn’t as big mainstream success wise but did pave the way by going to a major label in 1990 years prior to that 1994 explosion when Green Day & Offspring blew up on MTV & Alt Rock radio. I also mention Rancid as bonus tune & pick who didn’t reach same highs as those two but did ride that wave & have biggest major label offers ever but declined and stayed independent.

Let’s get into it!

Band - Green Day
Song - Basket Case
Album - Dookie (1994)

Band - Offspring
Song - The Kids Aren’t Alright
Album - Americana (1997)

Band - Blink 182
Song - Dammit
Album - Dude Ranch

Band - Social Distortion
Song - So Far Away
Album - Social Distortion (1990)

Here’s a couple extra Bonus Tunes from bands I picked already, Offspring & Green Day, tunes from different nineties records I picked above! Also throwing in Rancid who like Social Distortion wasn’t as big as the big 3 but still had some mainstream success!

Band - Rancid
Song - Journey To The End Of The East Bay
Album - Out Come the Wolves (1995)

Band - Offspring
Song - Come Out And Play
Album - Smash (1994)

Band - Blink 182

Album - Enema Of The State (1999)

Band - Green Day
Song - Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)
Album - Nimrod (1997)
