Continuing with my Producer Spotlight series, although I totally forget that theme last week, we started September 1st with three picks from Butch Vig produced albums/bands. This week I picked Rick Rubin and since he had three bands we worked on 5 albums or more with I figured I’d go with one from those three bands. Starting with Beastie Boys, second up Red Hot Chili Peppers, finishing with Linkin Park. Plus bonus tune from Slayer’s 1988 record Rick Produced. All album & song info will be below each pick! Enjoy!!!!

Just yesterday I was listening to "Sabotage" by the Beastie Boys and wondering: is there anyone who still listens to this music these days? And now you show up with this awesome post, hahaha. I’ve never listened to anything by Slayer, seriously, nothing at all, but Californication has always been one of my favorite albums; I still put it on at home from time to time. It’s been a while bro!...

Absolutely awesome brother! I love them all! Sabotage and Californication to kick it off, then Linkin Park with Catalyst. And out of nowhere Slayer at the end, I love that band! Great song! A great way to kick off TTT, I'll have to figure out what I'm going to do still! lol

Rite back at ya! 🎸💿🎶

IMG_7898.jpeg (full disclosure I sent it earlier today knowing I was selling all hive liquid and didn’t wanna run out before sending ya ur TTT HSBI:)

Definitely a random mix today, Rick also did a lot of hip hop & just totally different stuff like the newest two Strokes albums. I thought I’d keep it with the bands he worked with most and thought it was interesting Slayer had biggest success on an album he produced.

I’m smelling more classic rock from you tomorrow! Either way looking forward to it! Cheers!

Whoa, haven't listened to Slayer for a long time.
Have VPN, will listen world wide YT. No more regional boundaries.

Gearing up for the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. I'll try not to eat too many those sweet traditional Mooncakes.
