Hola, hola, traje pollito [ESP-ENG]
Soy Génesis o G, tengo 29 años y vivo en la ciudad de los atardeceres más bonitos del mar Caribe: Cumaná (Venezuela). Sol en Aries, ascendente en cáncer, escritora, fan del lettering, los perritos, las oreos y los chocolates hersheys cookies and cream. Me considero una persona creativa, cariñosa, dulce, iimpulsiva, impaciente (estoy trabajando en eso) y siempre dispuesta a intentar cosas nuevas (esta cualidad me ha llevado a meterme en algunos líos).
Siempre he vivido con el mar a seis cuadras de mi casa, pero me ha encantado viajar leyendo. La primera novela que leí por placer fue “Encuentro decisivo” de Danielle Steel (todavía la tengo en mi biblioteca y la releo de vez en cuando), fue mi comienzo como lectora. De V.C. Andrews aprendí a amar el drama. Soy fan de las novelas románticas. Muy pocas veces leo terror o suspenso, ya que soy una persona muy gráfica, y me sumerjo demasiado en el libro al punto de terminar demasiado ansiosa y hasta con pesadillas.
Aunque amo leer no me incliné por estudiar letras o literatura. Tengo una vena muy curiosa y científica, así que me gradué en una licenciatura en Bioanálisis. En realidad quería estudiar medicina gracias a Grey’s Anatomy (trabajar en un uniforme que parece pijama me parecía chévere), pero por cosas de la vida termine estudiando Bioanálisis y enamorándome del mundo microscópico que tenemos en nuestro cuerpo y de cómo al estudiarlo se pueden obtener un diagnóstico a las enfermedades y patologías que podemos llegar a padecer. Fue duro a nivel emocional y físico ejercer en tiempos de pandemia pero es una experiencia que sumó a la lista.
Escribo de manera creativa desde los 10 años, deje de hacerlo luego de la muerte de mi abuela materna (esta es una historia un poco larga para esta presentación). Aun así, descubrí la poesía como método de desahogo, esencial para convertir todo lo que me agobia en arte. He descubierto que también es una forma poderosa de conectar con alguien más y entender que no estoy sola sintiendo lo que siento.
En este momento, me he dedicado a escribir de manera constante, estoy decidida a contar todas las historias que tengo en mi cabeza. Hasta el día de hoy, tengo una novela terminadas y otras dos en proceso. Admitiré que me resulta difícil ser constante por lo cotidiano de la vida, pero estoy poniendo todo de mi para contar las historias que tengo guardadas.
En un punto de mi vida, había querido tener un blog, pero el miedo a no tener que decir, a quedarme sin ideas me frenó. ¿Tonto, verdad? Tarde en darme cuenta que siempre hay algo que decir, algo que crear y hoy, gracias a mi amiga Yuli @rulirecomienda (Hermana, te amo por tenerme toda la paciencia del mundo), se abrieron las puertas para entrar a este inmenso e increíble mundo de Hive. Esta me pareció la oportunidad para contar algunas de las cosas que tengo en mente y conectar con muchas personitas bonitas que he visto ya pertenecen a este lugar.

I'm Genesis or G, I'm 29 years old and I live in the city of the most beautiful sunsets in the Caribbean Sea: Cumana (Venezuela). Sun in Aries, ascendant in Cancer, writer, fan of lettering, dogs, oreos and hersheys cookies and cream chocolates. I consider myself a creative person, loving, sweet, impulsive, impatient (I'm working on that) and always willing to try new things (this quality has led me to get into some trouble).
I have always lived with the sea six blocks from my house, but I have loved to travel by reading. The first novel I read for pleasure was Danielle Steel's "Decisive Encounter" (I still have it in my library and reread it from time to time), it was my beginning as a reader. From V.C. Andrews I learned to love drama. I am a fan of romance novels. I very rarely read horror or suspense, as I am a very graphic person, and I get too immersed in the book to the point of ending up overly anxious and even having nightmares.
Although I love to read, I was not inclined to study literature. I have a very curious and scientific streak, so I graduated with a degree in Bioanalysis. I really wanted to study medicine thanks to Grey's Anatomy (working in a uniform that looks like pajamas seemed cool to me), but as life would have it, I ended up studying Bioanalysis and falling in love with the microscopic world we have in our body and how by studying it we can obtain a diagnosis of the diseases and pathologies we may suffer from. It was hard emotionally and physically to practice in times of pandemic but it is an experience that added to the list.
I have been writing creatively since I was 10 years old, I stopped doing it after the death of my maternal grandmother (this is a bit of a long story for this presentation). Even so, I discovered poetry as a method of venting, essential to turn everything that weighs me down into art. I have discovered that it is also a powerful way to connect with someone else and understand that I am not alone in feeling what I feel.
At this moment, I have dedicated myself to writing constantly, I am determined to tell all the stories I have in my head. As of today, I have one novel finished and two others in progress. I will admit that it is difficult for me to be constant because of the daily routine of life, but I am putting everything I have into telling the stories I have in my head.
At one point in my life, I had wanted to have a blog, but the fear of not having something to say, of running out of ideas stopped me. Silly, isn't it? It took me a while to realize that there is always something to say, something to create and today, thanks to my friend Yuli @rulirecomienda (Sister, I love you for having all the patience in the world), the doors opened to enter this immense and incredible world of Hive. This seemed to me the opportunity to tell some of the things I have in mind and connect with many beautiful people that I've seen already belong to this place.

There is a genre known as "cozy mysteries" which focuses less on suspense and more on the everyday lives of amateur sleuths. The Cat Who... series by Lilian Jackson Braun was one of the first and one of the best, but there are also tea shop mysteries, quilting club mysteries, bakery mysteries, and other series along those lines by different authors with varying writing skill and plot quality.
