A Coffee Redemption Story.

"Guys, I need to see the news. Don't you guys get tired of playing football games," George asked his friends.

"What's so special about the news?" Tade muttered with his eyes still fixed on the TV screen and hands tapping on the gamepad furiously.

"Nothing special really but there is a rumour online about a drug gang shipping out their stuff in a coffee pack. I don't know what happened in between but a lot of people have claimed to have bought the packs containing hard drugs instead of actual coffee," George replied.

"That's a serious issue but let me thrash Tade this last time before we watch the news," Maleek replied and winked at George who just left the living room immediately.

"It is a rumour, no one will make such a mistake and I can't believe that story until I see for myself," Tade said to Maleek.

George went to the kitchen to prepare coffee for himself but was shocked to see that his friends had exhausted his coffee.

George stormed the living room and turned off the TV switch angrily.

"Hey, what's that? I almost had him," Tade screamed but George was in no mood for their play anymore.

"You exhausted my coffee and didn't even tell me. I need it now, what do I do?" George asked angrily.

"Let's just go out and get another pack. I am craving berbecue and this would just be the perfect time to get it," Tade replied.

"Sorry man, it was Tade's fault. He exhausted your coffee just to stay awake all night. Bills on me guys, let's go out," Maleek replied and they left the house some minutes later.

The berbecue joint was their first stop and there were few people there so they had to join the queue. While waiting, George overheard some guys talking about the news he read online.

He didn't interfere but paid attention to everything they said and from their discussion, he could tell that those guys were involved. George and his friends got some barbecue and went to the grocery store to get some coffee.

Upon their arrival home, George went to the kitchen to prepare some coffee while his friends settled in the dining room to enjoy their barbecue.

"Holy Jes! It's real guys or isn't this coke?" George screamed and his friends rushed to check it out.

Maleek dipped his finger into the substance just to be sure it was truly what George claimed.

"This cost a fortune guys, let's get more of it from the store and find someone who will pay big for it," Maleek suggested.

"Are you serious? This will destroy a lot of lives out there," Tade replied.

"Why should that bother us, we can set up a good life for ourselves after this one time," Maleek insisted.

"You think this is funny? It's not and I won't be part of this dirty scheme," George replied Maleek sharply and retired to his room immediately.

He became worried about the hard drugs flooding the city more than it had done and how it would destroy many youths lives.

"Those guys," He stuttered and returned to the living for a cup of water. George met his friends in the living room and Maleek immediately apologized.

"Why aren't the police doing anything? This isn't normal." George stuttered and sank into the sofa.

"That's true, something isn't right about the whole thing," Tade replied.

"Those guys are the barbecue shop that left in the Lamborghini. They know something about this..." George was interrupted by Maleek who pointed his phone to George's face.

"This Lamborghini?" Maleek asked.

"Yes, you took the picture. Why?" George asked.

"You don't know why? I love Lamborghini and always take pictures whenever I see one," Maleek replied.

George zoomed in the picture and sent the plate number to his brother in the police department but his brother reached out to him immediately and warned George to be very careful because the people involved in were powerful and influential. George felt disappointed and knew that for his brother to have warned him, things were truly complicated.

The next day, George made up his mind to get to the root of the matter but he needed support for the public. He started by reaching out to someone on the dark web for help in getting information about the plate number.

Days after, George reached out to the company that originally produced the coffee and made it clear that if they didn't join him in putting an end to the hard drugs circulating on the street, they might not be able to redeem the image of their coffee brand.

George successfully won people's hearts and they went all out against the drug gang after getting all the information they needed. After apprehending one of the gang members, he disclosed that they always sealed hard drugs in products packs but the last delivery failed because the container arrived at the wrong port. He mentioned the names of his superior and they were all brought to book.

George pondered on how they could take the hard drugs out of circulation after the bad guys have been locked up but there was no simple way.

"You can't expect the grocery store owners to give up their goods," Tade told George while they were discussing.

"What if we start a fundraising? Let's tell people to pay for every pack of the counterfeit coffee pack and they might respond," George replied.

"Fantastic idea," Maleek complimented and George went on the set up the fundraising online. Surprisingly, people turned up and they were able to buy every pack of the hijacked brand in every store even though it took a long time to accomplish it.

The state was free from drugs and the people lived happily again. Coffee lovers resumed to enjoyiny their drink and the fear of seeing hard drugs in coffee packs ended.

Awwnn, isn't George a darling? Wait, is your name George? Wow, you used yourself as the muse here. Well done.

I am happy He did not let it go or try to make profit from his discovery like his friends wanted to. Taking pictures of things do help it seems because George's friend did his part and the plate number was captured to help with the investigation. And George did really well with the fundraising idea.

Perfect story, @george-dee

That's true if it happens in the real world. A lot of people will only think of making money out of the situation.

George and his friends did a great job to save the society from a catastrophe.
