The best Valentine's day celebration.
Chief William walked into the duplex and Lade came to welcome him. He is the only son of Chief Williams and the heir to his empire.
Lade: Welcome Dad, it took you more days than usual for the billionaires club monthly party.
Chief Williams: I held my send-off party in Abuja and that caused the delay.
Lade: A send-off party for you? Why?
Chief smiled before responding
Chief Williams: You are officially in charge of all my businesses and you will take my position in the billionaires club as well.
Lade was speechless, he couldn't find words to express himself.
Chief Williams: I need to freshen up son and tell the maid to get me my coffee.
The chief left the sitting room and Lade couldn't take his eyes off him until he was out of sight.
Lade got to work on Monday and he was welcomed by everyone. He addressed them briefly before they returned to their jobs.
Moments later...
Lade was staring at a file and he couldn't comprehend why his dad took $70,000 from the company account a few days ago.
He got home later that day and asked after settling down.
Lade: Dad, I saw a withdrawal of $70,000 from the company account and I was wondering...
Chief cuts in
Chief Williams: I took it to support the billionaire's party.
Lade: That's a lot.
Chief Williams: It's nothing, we are all billionaires and that reminds me, you are the host of the next billionaire party on the 14 of February.
Lade: Valentine's day, Isn't that too near?
Chief Williams: There is a $100,000 budget for it every year so just put the money to work.
Lade: Dad, $100,000 for a gathering of 12 people?
(The conversation lasted for some time.)

Lade came out of his room prepared for the event.
Chief Williams: You can't go like this Lade, look at what you on.
Lade: Dad, it's just an event and we have to go now.
They arrived at the event and Chief Williams was impressed with everything except Lade's dress.
Other members arrived with their guests and soon everyone was on their seats.
Chief Williams gave a short speech before handing over the event to his son.
Lade grabbed the mic and bowed before the other members.
Lade: Good morning everyone, I am honored to be among you today. I never saw today happening so soon but my daddy has decided to place me among the billionaires in the country and I am grateful.
The audience clapped for him.

The Valentine's edition of the club's monthly party will take a different turn today. We will be doing something different since today represents love globally, we are all going to step out for a while and we will return here later in the day.
They all left the hotel premises.
They arrived at their destination in executive buses after an hour's trip. Lade stepped out of the bus first and his father followed him.
Chief Williams: What is this madness Lade, why this kind of environment?
Lade: Dad, this is not madness and if you are not happy at the end of today, I will resign from the company.
A huge truck arrived and Lade requested that everyone alighted from the buses.
The club members were confused but they wanted to see to the end so they followed him into the town and he told them a few things about the place.
A crippled boy crawled past them and they felt pity for him.
Lade: Hey guys, get me those crutches and wheelchairs.
Some guys brought the items he requested, and he took one of the wheelchairs and turned to the senator.
Lade: Sir, can you personally hand it over to that boy?
The senator hesitated but took it from him and approached the boy.
Senator: Young boy, how long have you been like this?
Boy: I have never walked sir, I was born with a deformity.
The senator felt sorry for the boy and he carefully placed him in the wheelchair.
Senator: How do you feel now?
Boy: I feel good sir, is this mine?
Senator: Yes, it's yours.
Boy: Please sir, can I know your name so that I can always pray for you and tell God about your kindness when I get to heaven?
The senator got emotional and left for the bus immediately. Other members had a different encounters that touched them deeply before they left.
They arrived back at the hotel and Lade took the stage to address everyone.
Lade: I am sorry for putting everyone through stress on a day like this. Feb 14 is a day to remind people of how much we love them and that's all we did today.
He gave everyone the floor to share their thought about their experience in the town.
The senator stood first.
Senator: Lade, you made me shed tears today and I realized how far I have lost connection with humanity. I am ready to pay for all today's expenses.
Lade: It was less than $10,000 and every is sorted. I believe instead of the old ways of the monthly party, we can always leave a mark on people's lives on the 14th of every month.
Other members added theirs and when the time for merriment came, they could barely eat or drink
Chief called Lade out of the hall and he answered.
Lade: Dad, I am sorry about today.
Chief Williams: Don't be sorry, I am impressed. You made a difference in the club today and I realized that love shouldn't be restricted just to our families and friends. We can always reach out to the less privileged instead of splashing money on exotic parties.
The chief hugged his son before they joined the others. The billionaires club changed their approach to the monthly parties and they became recognized globally for alleviating poverty in the lives of people.

Yes Valentine is a day that we make something different by reaching out to the less privilege instead of doing the opposite, I agree with you sir, that for this great reminder.
We all can have a significant impact in the lives of people if we choose to extend that act of kindness to them than just restricting to our spouse.
Honestly, I liked the idea of you about valentine and a valentine should be like that. In current time people think valentine is just for couples.
As a couple, we spend everyday with our spouse which means we express love to one another everyday. If one day is set aside to express love then it shouldn't be just couples.
