I couldn't hold the laughter that was inspired by @Zizymena and some other user comedy post, their contents took me back to some funny and embarrassing moments I have experienced in my short stay in the world.

Almost everyone has had one or two experiences with alcohol, it usually doesn't end well for most first-timers. I didn't drink alcohol until after OND days, I have seen it disgraced people but my mindset was that they had too much of it. I knew nothing about human alcohol body tolerance and alcohol concentration percentage but I laugh a lot when I see people misbehaving as an effect of alcohol.

My mentality about alcohol changed after two experiences, the first was about my friend, and the second one happens to be me falling victim.

The school seminar.

I believe everyone is familiar with school projects, it does put so much pressure on students because of the stress involved. The seminar was just a preparation for the project, the school usually wants their students to have an idea of what it looks like so there were no favors even though the standard wasn't as strict as the final year project.

The seminar day wasn't a cool one, a lot of students were disorganized and I wasn't myself either because of my inability to face the crowd. I have a friend who also fell into this category, he is a shy type. Facing the judges and other students was difficult even from just imagination.

We kept rehearsing but it definitely wouldn't be the same in the hall, we took a break to rest before things kicked off. My friend excused himself, he wanted to get a snack and he came back with a red eye.

I asked what happened, he said he drank something (alcohol) with some other coursemates to boost their confidence for the presentation. They saw someone drinking and some of them joined because the guy claimed that the drink always boost his confidence.

While we were talking, I was perceiving alcohol so I asked if what he took was alcohol and he said yes. I was surprised because this guy doesn't drink alcohol but he claimed that he needed something to make him confident and since the guy said it helps, he took it.

The seminar started late, my friend was to do his presentation before me since we all had numbers given to us. Few minutes into his turn, he said he was feeling dizzy. I told him to kick the feeling out, he left the hall for fresh air outside and that was all.

I had to swap numbers since he left his possession behind, I did my presentation terribly and went out looking for him. I didn't see him, he wasn't picking up calls so I was pissed and left the seminar premises. Later that evening he called me but it was someone else voice, the caller claimed that he had been sleeping for a few hours in a garden near canteen.

I and the other friends went to pick him up, he couldn't even walk properly. He got relieved late at night, he asked if he did well with the seminar and we were like which seminar?

We all burst into heavy laughter, I broke the news to him, and he wasn't even sure of what happened after he left the hall, it seems he did his seminar in another realm.

My experience

The second experience happened to me and it was really embarrassing. My neighbor gave me the task of helping him plan his birthday party, it was my first time organizing something like that.

Everything was fine and I was at the open space in a bar we wanted to use, things were set before noon. I was really stressed from the work but the celebrant is a very kind person, be is a friend despite being older than me with 10 years

Around 2 pm, people were coming in already so I thought it would be best to go and freshen up but I was hungry so I requested a snack so which was served meat. The celebrant opened a bottle of Best whisky for those who arrived and I took some, I was delayed for almost an hour after so I took more with another brand I can't remember.

It was the first time I had that much and I was feeling the effect before I left to freshen up. I was missing my steps even at the event place but I thought I was in control of it, I gave the DJ my phone to help me charge it before I returned.

I mounted a bike and I was feeling like my head would fall off the bike, I managed to get home. I took my bath and sat on my bed to relax before heading out to the event, that was all I remembered.

I later got to know how the celebrant was worried, he kept calling, and the DJ gave him the phone because it was ringing continuously. He called home, people saw me enter the house but they didn't know when I left.

They knocked and did everything to see if I was indoor but nothing worked. He wasn't at peace throughout the birthday, they were all praying nothing evil happened to me. My apartment door is always open to other tenants when I am at home, everyone knows I am not home once it is locked so that gave them the idea that I was definitely not inside the house because I locked the door from behind.

That night, I woke and was hearing thunder noises. I didn't know why I was scared, I just open my door and staggered outside to see what was happening.

It was raining heavily and everyone was outside wondering where I could have gone, I greeted them and they were shocked. I was bombarded with questions, I didn't know who to answer first and it was then I realized I didn't even attend the party. They were happy that nothing bad happened and since then I don't even look at alcohol twice when I am outside my home, I don't want to see my video on the internet someday with captions like, "say no to drugs" and others.

I hope you smile while reading this, asking if you laughed will be too demanding for my poor joke and I know you have got something more funnier to share. Feel free to participate in the one month of The COMedy Rumble, to know more about it, click [HERE].

I invited @kushyzee, @dapomolaaa, and @deraaa to join the challenge, I know you guys have got some comedy vibes in you.

This is truly very funny 😂 and reminds me of my own experience with alcohol as well. You had two experiences that change your mentality about alcohol, only one did the trick for me and I vowed never to take liquor again

Lolz, I usually think quantity is the problem not knowing that quality matters too.

I have learned my lessons the hard way.

The effect is almost the same for everyone, the way it makes people lose touch with reality amazes me a lot.

We all have a story to tell 😂
