The earth will burn in 24hrs of lawlessness.

Thinking about humans not living by any rules whatsoever in the world for the next 24hrs created some scary scenes in my head. It would mean the end of the world for me because I know the degree of havoc the human race is capable of doing, the world will burn in less than 24 hours.

There is evil in every human but a lot of factors have helped clipped the wings of this evil even though a lot still of them go around exhibiting these evil acts. Law is among the factors that have clipped the wing of evil, now imagine if we are to live without those laws; it would mean that evil has been given the right to roam freely in the world.

I remember an experience a few years ago

Everyone thought it was a was of money when I insisted that we built an underground safe house when we were doing the foundation of our family home, it felt it would be helpful for days when crime becomes uncontrollable in the world.

We agree on building one after much deliberation, it was well equipped, soundproof, and can't be discovered because of where it is situated. 10 years later, the military/force threaten to go on a 24 hours strike due to how the government isn't taking their issues seriously. They needed an increment in salary, bonuses, good shelter, ammunition, and many other things. It looked like a mere threat until all the military department heads announced at there will be a 24hrs inactivity of all military officers including the police and the local sheriff.

I was heading to the store to get ink for my printer when I overheard some guys talking about attacking some places if the United nation does not meet the demands of the military, I quickly hurried into the store, and bagged some groceries that would last for some days and ran back home. We called the family together since there was a safe house, but we weren't sure what will happen.

At noon, we could see the military and other uniform men leaving their posts. My siblings were glued to the TV, the president isn't saying anything. About 15 minutes later, the TV presenter said it seems there has been an attack on the TV station premises and they will need to shut down for their safety.

We rushed to pick up our phones and the whole internet was full of pictures, and videos of attacks. It is less than 15 minutes after the force's inactivity and everyone has gone wild. We were hearing gunshots and people screaming for help nearby and we just had to move to the safe house. We were in there for only 6️hrs praying that the madness should just stop and a few minutes after the 6hrs, we could hear the faint sound of the military siren.

I got out of the safe house, peeped through the window, and saw military men making arrests. It looked like normalcy has been restored, others came out and we switched the TV on again. The government has met the military demands and they are back to work, the city was clear of the evildoers in a few minutes and we couldn't even identify them yet they leave among us.

We went around seeing shops looted, banks have been broken into, and people were killed and abused. Houses and cars are been damaged, I didn't believe so much chaos can happen in such a limited time and we could have seen more if things weren't resolved.

It got me wondering if it would take 6hrs to turn a country upside down, 24hrs is too much for the world. I want everyone to understand humans are the real evil roaming the earth and many just need the opportunity to showcase the evil in them.

I hope many saw what happened during Covid, the lockdown forced shop owners to stay at home, and at some point during the lockdown, people were breaking into shops, and warehouses to steal from other people's hard labor, they even went on to burn down a lot of business despite security officers on watch.

If people can do this when there are laws governing the people, what would you expect when there are no laws?

It would be bizarre, it would be the world's first step to its end. There are lots of people who want to hurt their fellow humans but they are still finding a perfect time to do it, what do you think they will be doing for that 24hrs?

Countries will wage war against one another, deadly missiles will be launched, people will go on using weapons on themselves since there are no laws restricting that from happening.

People will take revenge on innocent people, imagine what could happen to a girl that has refused to get into a relationship with a criminal, what would a tenant do to his landlord for embarrassing him publicly last week. I can imagine what the world would look like if murder, stealing, and rape, aren't crimes. The world will automatically become an inferno, thinking about it alone is making me hear the anguished cry of people who pains and suffering are been inflicted on by the people who are taking advantage of a lawless world.

The damage to the world will be beyond repairs, the damage won't stop at physical ones. There will be lots of mental and emotional damage, I doubt if the world will ever recover from just 24hrs of lawlessness.
