Sometimes I think of the potential and technology of the present and I think of the past. I guess in the past people were more enterprising and potential exploiters. Now the technology is very advanced, but there is no new Einstein.

Maybe you are right, but I also think that our days as Einstein would be totally different from the ones we know. The present one would be much more colossal in his ideas and thoughts.
I am sure he is out there and soon the time will come for him to come to public light. In the meantime, it is us with our creativity and originality that make the way.
Sometimes in this age we live in, I think that the biggest obstacle for such people to reveal themselves and their potential is social media.
