My adorable cats.

My kittens are not neutered yet. We have had so many setbacks with them. We were supposed to take them there in November but we couldn't, then they gave me an appointment for December and they couldn't either and now I called again but to another vet that is close to home, it takes 15 minutes by car to go there.

I spoke with the vet and he told me that he will let me know when he has the complete supplies to sterilize my two children.

Copito was assaulted about three months ago, he disappeared for 3 days, but before that he was here in my garage with a cat who was in high demand and with whom he was having an affair for 5 days… Then he disappeared.

When he came back home it was one normal morning, he came in the house, meowed and collapsed. I never thought I would get to see him like that, I think he was attacked by a dog or maybe some car hit him.

When he came in such state I thought he was hungry, so my son ran and made him some milk that Copito drank, but just a little. He meowed in pain and I carried him and put him in a room where I keep furniture. There he was unable to move… I thought he came to die. Believe me, my heart wanted to leave my body and my tears wouldn't stop flowing. My legs got so loose they felt like jelly, I was so afraid of losing him.

I put my son's shirt on him so he could lie down. He didn't even want to eat anything anymore, the next day I offered him milk and he didn't want any and I noticed that his right jaw was very swollen. Oh my God, it was bitten in several places and pus filled his face.

We gave him some bandages, I am a doctor but I couldn't cure him, I just cried as he was moaning very softly from his pain and he couldn't even put much resistance when we tried to help him. I started him on antibiotics, I did this cure twice a day, and gave him the water, soup and his antibiotic with an injector inside his mouth because he didn't want to eat anymore. I stayed for 5 days with the antibiotic treatment. On the third day his wound stopped draining pus and he started eating on his own after a week.

My Copito was saved. I think he came home to die. He had no strength and used what he had left to get home, he was indoors all that time since his accident. He has started crying because he wants to be outside in the living room. We already let him be in there but we close the door at night and he comes in in the morning.

He is afraid of the sound of cars passing on the street, so I think some car might have hit him after he came home hurt.

I can't imagine what a big fight he had that cut his face in three parts, hurt his abdomen and one leg.

Now after that bad experience he has been very well behaved and is a house cat, but at the beginning of February God willing I will have them both home and neutered.

My son and I try to keep Meme as much as possible at home but he wants to do the same thing he sees my Copito doing. He chases the female cats, romancing them and confronting the other cats older than him, then meowing very loudly and running off to get into our house.

These cats give me more worry than my own 21 year old son. They love gourmet cat food, they love fresh sardine fillets and raw or cooked meats, they are my prompt starters at lunchtime for my son and me.

Their food budget is already over $50 a month and we still plan to buy them some toys for next month, God willing.

I never thought that these cats that adopted my son and me would give so much love to us and us to them.
