Greetings friends of the shadow photo hunting contest, hosted every week by our friend @melinda010100.

This week I got the shadow of an Opuntia cactus. Cacti make strange shapes with their shadow, due to the way their "pencas" are arranged in their structure.

It's the same Opuntia but with different projections. Closer and one more
indoors.

adentro.

And this is the cactus that serves as my model.

It really does cast interesting shadows! What a great cactus plant. Have you had it a long time?

Hello @melinda010100. Yes, I have had this cactus since they gave me a penca, a single piece of a cactus. I planted it in a very small pot. I no longer have his photo. I lost all my photos on a computer with a virus. It grew a lot and I planted it on the ground. Now it is blooming for the first time.

I used to have this cactus when I stayed in my parent's house before they sold it. It is such a cool cactus :) Nice shadow there!

It is true. And everything is edible; they eat their "pencas" and they eat their ripe red fruits.
