Sharing is a pleasure.
Happy to share for the first time in this community part of my life in my garden.
Hello dear friends of hive. Today I want to tell you that I came up with the idea of making my fig jam.
I have in my garden a fig plant that throughout the year produces delicious purple figs, sweet and tasty. I pick them from the tree for several weeks until I get a quantity similar to 1 kg. I keep them in the freezer to keep them nice and cold until I can cook them.
I love to plant, and this fig plant is one that I planted myself in my garden. After it I have planted many branches from its stem, the last branches are still very small, but they are very leafy.
After I remove them from the refrigerator I wash them, trim the tips and cut them in two halves. Then I place them in a bowl with sugar, lemon and vanilla. After a few hours in the fridge I put them on the stove, on high heat and then on low heat.
The truth is that soon after the whole cooking process I get some delicious jam that I pack in glass containers and then call my family and friends and announce the sale.
To my friends I sell my tasty jam and to my family I give them a 300 grams container as a gift.
In the afternoons as a snack it is a delight to eat it, spread on crackers of my own production and a tasty cup of coffee, this is a reward for a hectic day.
Best of all, I can invite a friend to join me for a delicious snack. Here in my living room and in my favorite place outside, rocking in my rocking chair.
So here, I bring you my succulent preparation of figs and how I share and enjoy it.
Thank you for your visit and comments.
Hola apreciada amiga. Años que no degusto un dulce de higos; mi papá siempre compraba dulce o mermelada pero el de supermercado.
Greetings dear Antonia, when you come to Barcelona let me know and so I invite you to my living room and we take a coffee with some cookies with homemade fig jam, a hug.
Siiii amiga, muchas gracias por la invitación. También me gustaría ver tus plantas. Estaré pendiente.😘
