Defying the Sun in Biar/ Desafiando al sol en Biar

Hi, how's it going? Here, in Spain, we haven't come out of a heat wave and we are already entering another one. It's been a really sweltering summer with night temperatures not dropping below 24ºC in the city of Alicante. But I didn't want to talk about the weather. Due to work circumstances I had to go with a colleague to the town of Biar and that is how I found myself on one of the hottest days of July walking through the streets of this inland town in the province of Alicante. At four o'clock in the afternoon, as you can see from the clock tower, the sun was beating down and nobody, except my work colleague, his dog and me, dared to defy Lorenzo (the Sun).

Hola ¿Qué tal va todo? Aquí, en España, no salimos de una ola de calor y ya estamos entrando en otra. Está siendo un verano realmente agobiante con unas temperaturas nocturnas que no bajan de los 24ºC en la ciudad de Alicante. Pero no quería hablaros del tiempo meteorológico. Por circunstancias de trabajo tuve que ir con un compañero a la población de Biar y así es como me encontré en uno de los días más calurosos del mes de julio paseando por las calles de este pueblo del interior de la provincia de Alicante. A las cuatro de la tarde, como podéis ver en el reloj de la torre, caía un sol de justicia y nadie, excepto mi compañero de trabajo, su perro y yo, nos atrevimos a desafiar a Lorenzo (el sol).
