Greetings, dear community and members of Hive Book Club, today I write to you with great joy about my experience participating in the CCS 2023 Book Fair; as some of you may know Venezuela is a country of great culture and just in these vacations in September several activities have been carried out by the Mayor of Caracas in order that the population, spend a different recreational day as fun and at the same time benefiting the intellectual part of each participant.

At first I was a little nervous because I did not know the exact location of the place, since it was reported by the various news channels that the event would be held at the Museum of Caracas, which had not been open to the general public for more than 10 years.

Thank heavens, once I arrived I was glad I had made the decision to go, since there were a large number of people of all classes browsing the various stores and stands dedicated to the sale of books at affordable prices, from educational, illustrative, scientific, as well as artistic and reflective.

One of the most positive points to highlight of this Book Fair was the number of publishers participating in the event, such as Editorial Santillana, known for its educational textbooks from 1 to 5 or 6 years of high school; Seeing all that amount of books made me remember my time at school, since for a long time my study plan given by the school consisted of buying as many books as possible of different subjects from this publisher, since they are considered the best to understand the different areas that can form a person for life both at home and in the workplace.

There was also a stand of the Venezuelan Chamber of Books, which also brought back great memories of my time studying books such as Earth Sciences for the area of geography and Nature for the area of Biology.

Also present was the Rosmi Bookstore with a diverse and varied amount of Comics, which was one of the places with more visitors for the various topics and stories to find.

Among so many books there were some that caught my attention for being topics that generate great opinions in today's society, as was the case of the book Inventing to Learn by the authors Sylvia Libow Martinez and Gary Stager placed and disseminated by the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture. This title at first sight made me think of the famous phrase of René Descartes I think, therefore I am, since one usually first invents to learn from mistakes or facts to act and have favorable results; On the other hand, a friend of mine, when commenting on this title, thought that in fact, from the invention one gets to obtain the learning that nowadays are taken as absolute facts and theories, as well as one can think that, on the contrary, from learning one gets to new inventions, which is why it is a book that I consider fascinating to read and recommend.

Then, inside the facilities of the Caracas Museum there were several offers from books at 10 $, 5 $, 3 $ and 1 $; of course, I could not stay still in one place and I began to see each one of the books of the offer of 1 $. Among the most interesting I found the Manual de Trabajos de Grado de Especialización y Maestría y Tesis Doctorales, published by the Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador 2006, 4th edition,Fedupel; the intriguing thing about this book, besides its title is that within its content it contains information on The correct way to search, investigate and grab references from printed and electronic sources, in turn it indicates the correct way to place the surname of the authors of such bibliographic references in the degree thesis.

Therefore, with the excitement of seeing the degree of knowledge that the book had that could be very useful for my university research work, I proceeded to buy it, since it fulfilled the category of being a Quality/Current/Economic product and that I would certainly use until the end of my career 😆.

Following the aforementioned book I found a second interesting book to reflect on, because, in this case, the title to reflect on is **¿Realmente quiero tener hijos? M.D. and Suzan Erem of Grupo Editorial Norma. Usually this book via online can be obtained at a price of 10 - 6$ so seeing it in such good condition with its packaging in the offer of 1$ was really surprising; especially that from my point of view today is a topic that many women think, yes really due to society, feelings and the economy you can get to think about the possibility of having a child.

Finally and the most exciting thing for me was that I could also acquire a small book of Mandalas of animals of 96 pages, each page has a different Mandala with its own meaning and the best thing was the price 😁, since I acquired it at a cost of 60 Bs almost 2$, which in the market or bookstores you can get from 5$ and up.

Conclusion

Although it was an unexpected outing, I did not regret at any time having attended since I was able to get two great books for my training at super cheap prices that did not exceed my budget of $ 5 and in turn I could enjoy watching how to learn from two great books that I consider really shocking for this society and current times, as the aforementioned Do I really want to have children? and Inventing to Learn.
