Don't Sleep On It - Gratitude.

Life can be unpredictable just like the weather
Just as humans come in different sizes too; thick and slender
Sometimes life goes easy on you and oftentimes grinds you like a blender
It's not a curse before you start screaming 'back to sender'

We see things differently just as the view of the great canyon
You get what you get from life and create your story by shooting your cannon
We are all artists, drawing up our lives and we can add colours from the crayon
As long as it makes sense to you and advances you, spray detractors with your Baygon

We act differently too and that's what being a human is about
Most people want to change others and go in circles like the roundabout
I've seen a lot of people give up who they are just to chase clout
They end up coming short and then drown their sorrows with the stout

Life won't always make sense but make the most of it
Social media is not a life so don't get caught up with the lies of it
Friends would betray you, don't bother to even sleep on it
Be the best you can be, you owe yourself that much, don't forget it

Gratitude is a state of mind despite not having it all together
It's about looking inward knowing situations won't put asunder
Thankfulness depends on what's in your heart
Despite many focusing on what's in their hands

I don't have it all figured out but thankful for life
I roll over my bed and I am thankful for the wife
A life of ease too without much strife
I don't have much but I am thankful for all I have
