My passion for reading- Week 144 Weekend-Engagement.

Greetings and happy weekend, dear friends, it is a pleasure to share for the second consecutive week the call of friend @galenkp for the weekend experiences, so we propose striking themes to develop according to our choice and they are so attractive that even becomes difficult to choose just one and I for my part I go for the simplest, with which I feel more comfortable and identified to express.

The word passion encompasses many things, even when we hear that word we quickly think of the act of love because the mind has no limits and makes the imagination fly, it is said that passion is an emotion transformed into feeling, since it leads us to do what we like in a different way that comes from the depths of our heart and everything that comes from the heart carries a special stamp that makes it unique.

Reading for me is an act of love for oneself, because with it we can disconnect from our world to connect to a world full of magic to which we enter to be part of it and fill us with new vital energies for our lives, plus when we read we are nourishing our knowledge of something new, we also expand our repertoire of words and often even we are surprised with certain readings for how motivating they tend to be.

I feel that the passion for reading is innate in me, because I remember that my mother used to mention that she had no problems when I started school because I learned to read alone and the teachers always called me to do the readings in front of my classmates or on civic Mondays when they were on duty, I was responsible for reading in front of all the other grades and I think that was one of the things that helped me a lot to want to adopt reading as part of my existence.

When I began my studies to opt for the title of teacher, one of the requirements was fluent reading, of course that was not something indispensable and did not enter the list of requirements as such, But one of the many subjects of the first semester, the teacher was very angry with the group and sent us activities very deliberately so that we would give up the idea of being teachers and one of those activities was reading, that strategy worked very well because of 40 students who started the race, we were only 29 and among them was me, who humbly I have always read very fluently.

Then in my work as a teacher I emphasized to the children to take the habit of reading, the same with my children and with anyone who can motivate, to take reading as something very normal like taking a medicine that will heal us, because that is what reading is, it is a medicine for the soul, it calms us and motivates us to want more. There is nothing more exciting than reading, the satisfaction is wonderful; in my case, after reading I feel like a new person, renewed, with something new to say about what I have experienced with that reading, that is why reading is my passion.
