Jackie es una mujer que arrastra un triste pasado debido a que en su niñez fue violada en diferentes ocasiones lo cual la ha mantenido llevando una vida inestable, esta chica de piel oscura es una luchadora de MMA lo único que ha logrado en la vida y que por desgracia fracasó debido a sus miedos y traumas que viene arrastrando desde su niñez.
Jackie is a woman who drags a sad past because in her childhood she was raped on several occasions which has kept her leading an unstable life, this dark-skinned girl is an MMA fighter, the only thing she has achieved in life and unfortunately failed due to her fears and traumas that she has been dragging since childhood.
Jackie por medio de su papel de luchadora nos muestra muy de cerca el mundo de las artes marciales lo cruel, doloroso y desafiante que puede ser aun cuando muchos son aficionados a este arte tan despiadado, por otro lado nos presenta su faceta de ser madre tratando de salir adelante mientras y luchando con los obstáculos que se le presentan día tras día.
Jackie through her role as a fighter shows us very closely the world of martial arts how cruel, painful and challenging it can be even when many are fans of this art so ruthless, on the other hand presents us her facet of being a mother trying to get ahead while struggling with the obstacles that are presented to her day after day.
Herida es una película que exterioriza la vida de una mujer que tiene que luchar por recuperar su carrera como luchadora de artes marciales mixtas y al mismo tiempo debe aprender a ser madre del pequeño Manny de seis años al cual abandonó al nacer pero que la vida afortunadamente lo ha puesto en su camino en el momento menos esperado y ahora debe encargarse de él dando lo mejor de si lo cual la llena de energías para continuar.
Wounded is a film that externalizes the life of a woman who has to fight to recover her career as a mixed martial arts fighter and at the same time must learn to be a mother to six year old Manny, whom she abandoned at birth but that life has fortunately put him in her path at the least expected moment and now she must take care of him giving the best of herself, which fills her with energy to continue.
Jackie ahora tiene motivos de sobra para lograr poner en alto su profesión la cual se vio derrotada en su última pelea años atrás, aunque el miedo y la vulnerabilidad reinan en la vida de esta mujer ella trata en lo posible de luchar con todos esos monstruos internos para sacar a la mujer valiente que quiere ser, por eso deja a un lado el alcohol, la vida en pareja la cual le estaba haciendo daño y hasta la relación con su propia madre quien ha sido la culpable de lo ocurrido durante su infancia.
Although fear and vulnerability reign in the life of this woman, she tries as much as possible to fight with all those inner monsters to bring out the brave woman she wants to be, so she leaves aside alcohol, her life as a couple, which was hurting her, and even her relationship with her own mother, who has been to blame for what happened during her childhood.
La chica se aferra al entrenamiento de la mano Bobbi, una extraña mujer quien practica la meditación y que a través de ella busca ayudar también a Manny quien es un niño sumamente introvertido; ambas afroamericana quienes logran establecer una conexión especial que las lleva mucho más allá del entrenamiento lo cual hace que Jackie triplique sus ganar de triunfar en la celda.
The girl clings to the training of the hand of Bobbi, a strange woman who practices meditation and through it seeks to help Manny who is an extremely introverted boy; both African American who manage to establish a special connection that takes them far beyond the training which makes Jackie triple her chances of succeeding in the cell.
Herida tiene escenas muy crudas en cuanto al deporte en si, lo que la hacen mas realista y en ocasiones parecida a la muy famosa película Rocky cuando muestra las escenas de las contrincantes partiéndose el rostro pero al mismo tiempo con entereza. Aunque al principio la historia muestra una mujer que vive en muy malas condiciones en Nueva Jersey con su pareja quien dice ser su mánager solo para exponerla y ver que provecho puede sacar de ella; mas adelante el rodaje nos presenta a una mujer capaz de apartar de ella lo vulnerable luchando por lo que quiere, que ama de verdad y se valora por lo que es y por lo que quiere ser en beneficio de ella y de su pequeño hijo.
Wounded has very raw scenes in terms of the sport itself, which makes it more realistic and sometimes similar to the very famous movie Rocky when it shows the scenes of the opponents breaking their faces but at the same time with integrity. Although at the beginning the story shows a woman who lives in very bad conditions in New Jersey with her partner who claims to be her manager only to expose her and see what he can get out of her; later the film presents us with a woman capable of putting aside the vulnerable by fighting for what she wants, who truly loves and values herself for who she is and for what she wants to be for the benefit of herself and her little son.
Esta película de netflix llena de acción, dolor y emoción expresa mucho mas de lo que parece y que mientras mas nos adentramos en la historia podemos observar lo imperfecta que es la vida y que es eso lo que hace de ella una película extraordinaria a mi manera de verla porque va mas allá de una simple pelea, la verdadera pelea es la que lleva la protagonista dentro de sí y con la cual lucha cada minuto de su vida para ser mejor.
This Netflix movie full of action, pain and emotion expresses much more than it seems and the more we get into the story we can see how imperfect life is and that is what makes it an extraordinary movie in my opinion because it goes beyond a simple fight, the real fight is the one that the protagonist carries within herself and with which she fights every minute of her life to be better.

I'm looking forward to seeing it, just because it's Halle Berry's directorial debut. It has received some negative reviews, but I want to see it to draw my own conclusions.
I don't like the movie. It is too predictable.

No soy fanática de las películas de boxeo, hay algo en la violencia de romperse en la cara que me incomoda. Creo que la única que he podido completar, es la saga de Rocky y es porque es un clásico. Me gusta que cuenten los desafíos de ese deporte desde el punto de vista de una mujer, así que podría ser interesante
