Trying Coffee At %Arabica | The Coffee Shop From Kyoto-Japan

Hi, friends in the cinnamon cup coffee community. How are you today? I hope we are all constantly in good health and spirit to live our days well. A few weeks ago, I went on vacation, so I couldn't be active in writing in this community, and now it's time for me to share a story with you when I visited one of the most famous coffee shops, namely %Arabica.

%Arabica is a coffee shop from Kyoto-Japan, and this coffee shop has 131 branches worldwide. In my country %Arabica has four branches, with three in Jakarta and one in Bali. In Jakarta, %Arabica is located in the shopping malls in the city center, namely Plaza Indonesia, Central Park, and District 8. And the most famous is the branch in Central Park. But unfortunately, I didn't visit the branch in Central Park, but I went to their branches in Plaza Indonesia.

I visited their branch in Plaza Indonesia because it was close to where I was staying. It only took me 5 minutes by foot to get to this place. Because this coffee shop is in the middle of the city, I don't need to use a vehicle to get to this place. In this area, there is also another shopping mall, offices, and places to eat, so in my opinion, this is one of the best places to choose when you want to have small talk with clients or want to relax while enjoying a cup of coffee.

%Arabica is located on the ground floor of Plaza Indonesia and right next to the mall entrance for pedestrians. So when I visited this coffee shop, I had no trouble or needed instructions from the clerk at the mall because the place itself was effortless to find.

When I first entered this coffee shop, what I felt for the first time was a minimalist impression. All their interiors have white and brown colors. And I think this follows the typical Japanese interior style, where I usually see them prefer a minimalist place and paint. In addition, with a design like this, I feel more focused when I want to order something because there are not many things that interfere with my view.

Besides coffee, they also sell some pastries and accessories, which I think are very cute, such as bags, mugs, shoes, and a tumbler. But because I'm on a budget, so I have to be a little frugal. So maybe next time I will buy the bag when I visit this place on another occasion.

For the price of drinks, both coffee and non-coffee, I think this is average up. The photo I displayed above shows that price is in IDR currency. If I change it to USD, it is around 4 USD. Besides drinks, they also sell coffee beans and provide various coffee beans from multiple countries at varying prices. The price of the most expensive coffee beans is around 186 USD/kg. However, they also provide small sizes, starting from 100gr if you feel that buying 1kg coffee beans is too much and expensive. However, I am the type of person who likes to try, so I will choose to buy the variant with the smallest size so that I can taste other coffee beans.

You can see how the color combination of the coffee machine. This makes it look very minimalist but also elegant. And I like it, and there are only white, brown, and black accents. But unfortunately, I don't know the brand of the coffee machine they use, so I can't find the price of the coffee machine.

At %Arabica, I ordered one cup of americano, one matcha latte, and one chocolate croissant. As for the taste, the americano I ordered was quite watery, and I felt it was too much water. I think this is because the weather is quite hot, so the ice melts quickly, I should have used a tumbler, but I forgot to bring it. Maybe it's also homework for coffee shops in tropical climates. They have to use a tumbler instead of a plastic cup so that the ice doesn't melt fast when serving cold drinks.

I only drank one gulp of the matcha latte because this drink belonged to my wife, and I was only allowed to drink a little bit. I think this is a sign that the matcha latte ordered was so good that I was only allowed to drink one gulp.

The chocolate croissant is delicious, and when you bite it, the texture is crumbly. And as far as I know, this is the mark of a good croissant. In addition, the chocolate filling is also delicious, not too sweet, and not too bitter. So it is very suitable when combined with a glass of americano.

The last photo I dedicate to all the staff who work at %Arabica because they provide excellent service. They also didn't hesitate to provide information when I asked about coffee. The team who work here are also amicable. Besides that, they also look dress-up, neat, and attractive, which also increases visitors' comfort when they come to %Arabica.

Thank you to friends who have read reviews about %Arabica. I hope you guys like it. See you again in the following coffee shop review.

Have a good day.
