Visiting "LiBorneo Coffee", The One and Only Coffee Roastery In My Town

Coffee has a million flavours, and every coffee bean has a different flavour. This is influenced by location, climate, highlands or lowlands, and what plants or gardens are around.

For example, I try some coffee beans that have a taste of jasmine. I can't even smell coffee from it. And of course, the taste is also good. Long short story, the good or not coffee beans depends on the roastery and beans quality.

A good roastery is which can up the flavour of coffee beans. For instance, the coffee beans are planted on the mountain and around that has an orange garden. So, the beans must have a flavour of orange or orange smell. If the roastery is not good enough, it will miss some elements of the coffee beans themselves.

For this time, I visited LiBorneo Coffee, and this coffee shop is the only coffee roastery in my town. The owner itself is my friend. So at this time, we have so many conversations about coffee. And I don't forget to give him a little coffee bean I bought some time ago.

Coffee Roastery it's a part of coffee. So many roasteries in my country, and some roastery have good coffee and win some world competitions, which will make the price of beans go up, and it's good for farmers. And also, it's suitable for the roastery itself because it will make the roastery name more famous than before.

But, the science behind roastery is something new for me. And I think it's hard because there are so many elements to learn to make good beans. You can't just drag your coffee beans to the machine; before that, you must know the quality of the coffee itself. The quality of coffee beans depends on the grade, you can buy them at a low price, but you will get poor quality too. So before coffee beans come to the roastery, you must know the quality of the beans.

On another level, after you know the quality of beans, you must be ready to throw away some coffee beans because in the first learn, you can not make good beans on the first try. So, it's research knowledge. Some people can know whether the coffee beans are good or not only by seeing.

And, it would be best if you also withstood the heat. Because the roaster machine is like an oven, you must stay here to check the machine's temperature and whether it's roasted enough. Also, you must know the beans' criteria because, in some beans, it's not good to roast on a light roast profile. That's why I mentioned before that you must be ready to throw away some beans because if you want to try roasting coffee beans, you must be ready for research.

After the roasting process, you must wait one week for coffee beans to be ready to serve because the LiBorneo owner tells me that after the roasting process is finished, the coffee's aroma is not going up. So it would be best if you waited for it to be ready to serve until one week.

And the last, you must have a keen sense of taste to taste the beans. Or, in competition, your coffee beans will be rated by Q-grader. Q-grader itself is the title for people who have a good sense of taste for coffee. Unfortunately, an estimated only 3500 people in the world have the title Q-Grader.

LiBorneo Coffee uses coffee beans from local farmers, and they roast themselves. So it will reduce the cost of buying roasted coffee from another roastery. Here you can ask the barista about recommended coffee beans, and they will be happy to inform you.

I ordered coffee with a manual brew method, using v60 and the coffee beans are from Mount Prau, located in Temanggung, Dieng, Central Java. These beans are secret because the owner sells this to his friends. However, they don't want to sell the coffee with that beans because the coffee beans from Mount Prau are a little hard to order. So he serves these beans for himself or his friend only.

As I mentioned before, I try coffee with a jasmine aroma. These beans are from Mount Prau. I don't know what roasteries roasted these beans. But the taste is delicious, and you can smell the jasmine aroma from this coffee. The taste is light, not too acid and not too bitter, and it also has a little sweat taste from it.

About the ambience, LiBorneo Coffee does not have an ambience like other coffee shops right now because I think another coffee shop has a spot to selfie and a beautiful building. This coffee shop has a little spot to take photo selfies, and the building is just a simple shop. Because I think my friend wants to focus on roasteries.

But this place will be my option if I want to taste new beans and share some beans with the owner. So please check your local roasteries, and buy some beans from here. It will help the businesses from local roasteries and local farmers.

Have a nice day too @millycf1976.
It's because the coffee shop has owned by my friend. So it's lucky for me to have the opportunity to visit this place.

Yes @leaky20, this is my first time seeing the roasting process. And there are so many elements that can affect the taste of a coffee bean.
