Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge! - Equal Opportunity (ENG/ITA)

Hello, dear Splinterlands friends!

In the magical world of Splinterlands, tactical skill in card positioning can be the difference between victory and defeat! In this captivating universe of strategic battles, players face a unique challenge when deploying their creatures: melee monsters are limited to attacking only the first position on the opponent's field, leaving the rear positions from second to sixth unused.

However, dive into an epic adventure, and you'll discover that the game rules can change, creating unpredictable and thrilling situations. With rulesets like "Super Sneak" and "Equal Opportunity," battle dynamics transform, allowing melee monsters to overcome imposed limits and attack from otherwise inaccessible positions.

And that's what we'll explore in this week's Battle Mage Secrets Challenge.

Equal Opportunity.png

Equal Opportunity: all monsters on the field gain the Opportunity ability, allowing them to attack from any position and target the enemy with fewer Health points. This means we can finally choose many melee monsters that would otherwise have been benched.

Here is the link to the battle I want to show you:

And these are the game rules:

With a not-so-high Mana Cap of 32, allowing us to choose some heavy hitters while maintaining balance with the rest of the team, besides Equal Opportunity, we have Ferocity (which doesn't affect this match since there are no monsters with Taunt) and Close Range.

And here is the battlefield:

Seizing the opportunity, I chose Lobb Lowland as the summoner to deploy the powerful Gladius card, Quora Towershead, one of the strongest cards in the Splinterlands world, in the third position, paired with Endless Ape, a new Rebellion card in the Tank position.

In the second and fourth positions, I placed two cards with the Martyr ability, namely Venari Marksrat and Fungus Flinger, followed by Fungus Fiend and Swamp Thing.

On the other hand, my opponent opted for a classic Death element team, with Thaddius Brood as the summoner and Gargoya Lion in the Tank position, followed by Venari Marksrat, Riftwing, Skok Duskblight, Will-o-Wisp, and Chaos Agent.

Which card made me win the game? Of course, it was Quora Towershead, who, thanks to her Bloodlust ability, reached incredible stats by Round 2, like 7 in Magic and 8 in melee. Endless Ape also performed well, reaching 16 Health with its Scavenger ability.

I must remember this card combo for the future, even though it can only work with rulesets like Equal Opportunity.
