Un feliz inicio de semana mis queridos amigos de @NeedleWorkMonday, feliz de estar compartiendo con ustedes un nuevo proyecto, alguna vez les ha pasado que inician una labor con un fin en mente y terminan siendo algo diferente.

Hacen algunos años tuve la oportunidad de realizar un curso de bordado y tejido en macramé, en una instalación de una empresa textil muy famosa “Coats”, a manera de despedida de Venezuela realizaron una serie de talleres por 3 meses, al finalizar los cursos se hizo una exposición, donde a cada participante se le dio la oportunidad de comprar hilos con un 80 % de descuento, se podrán imaginar todas invertimos nuestros ahorros en hilos, de los cuales ya solo quedan muy pocos, más para poder invertir nuevamente en hilo me propuse una meta no comprar más hilos hasta no terminar los que ya tengo.

Con mi meta en mente y con los planes de realizar mi colección de granny, este sábado junto con mi esposo y varios amigos fuimos a realizar un servicio de limpieza de maleza, en casa de otro amigo y mientras ellos comenzaban a cortar la maleza yo me dedique a comenzar a tejer mi Granny # 5, me llevé varios hilos y un diagrama que copie de Pinterest.
With my goal in mind and with plans to make my granny collection, this Saturday along with my husband and several friends went to do a weeding service at another friend's house and while they began to cut the weeds I dedicated myself to start knitting my Granny # 5, I took several yarns and a diagram that I copied from Pinterest.
Para comenzar mi labor realice varios cambios en el inicio, en vez de realizar una anillo de 6 cadenetas, me gusta comenzar con un anillo mágico, así que tejí en la primera vuelta 12 puntos medio altos sobre el anillo mágico, para darle color en la base la tejí en hilo rojo, la segunda vuelta la tejí tal como indica el patrón.
To start my work I made several changes at the beginning, instead of making a ring of 6 chains, I like to start with a magic ring, so I knitted in the first round 12 medium high stitches over the magic ring, to give color to the base I knitted it in red yarn, the second round I knitted it as indicated in the pattern.
Para la tercera la tejí en color blanco y en beige la cuarta vuelta, hasta allí logré tejer, ya había monte que recoger y un refrigerio que preparar. Cuando terminamos allí ya estaba muy cansada como para seguir tejiendo, por lo que continué tejiendo al día siguiente en mi capilla.
For the third round I knit it in white and in beige for the fourth round, I managed to knit up to that point, there was already a mountain to pick up and a snack to prepare. By the time we finished there I was too tired to continue knitting, so I continued knitting the next day in my chapel.
La Quinta vuelta la tejí en color rosado, como vi que el granny estaba muy pequeño quise darle un poco más de volumen dándoles unas vueltas adicionales, cuando la estaba tejiendo escuché que una amiga estaba de cumpleaños y no tenía un presente para ella, más cuando vio lo que estaba tejiendo me dijo que estaba muy hermoso y que necesitaba un pequeño tapete para su cactus, así que le dije que si le gustaba ese sería para ella, pero cuando estaba terminando la sexta vuelta; en la cual repetí el color beige; vinieron a buscarla por lo que tuve que finalizar la labor en esa vuelta, y dar por concluido mi Granny # 5.
The fifth row I knitted it in pink, as I saw that the granny was very small I wanted to give it a little more volume giving it some additional rows, when I was knitting it I heard that a friend was having a birthday and I didn't have a present for her, but when she saw what I was knitting she told me that it was very beautiful and that she needed a small mat for her cactus, so I told her that if she liked that one it would be for her, but when I was finishing the sixth row, in which I repeated the color beige, they came looking for her so I had to finish the work in that row and conclude my Granny # 5; in which I repeated the beige color; they came looking for her so I had to finish the work in that round, and finish my Granny # 5.
A los minutos mientras yo estaba en la capilla me llegó un mensaje, era ella enviándome la foto de cactus sobre el pequeño tapete.

Me sentí alegre pues aunque ya no es mi granny # 5 coleccionable pude alegrar un poco a mi amiga en su cumpleaños.
I felt happy because even though it is no longer my collectible granny #5 I was able to cheer up my friend a little on her birthday.

Saludos querida @lauramica ciertamente por lo general como creativos cuando vamos de compras y vemos algo que simplemente nos llamé la atención vamos y lo compramos sin tener un proyecto en mente, ese fue parte de mi caso en vez de usar la creatividad para usar los colores que ya tenía iba y compraba el color que quería para un proyecto especifico, aún cuando fuese muy poco el material que fuera a usar.
Y como no puede tejer por mucho tiempo, estoy en busca de proyectos que me ayuden a cumplir esta meta, gracias por tu apoyo, leer y comentar, feliz día.
