1 month ago I made a sale that I had not wanted to do since 2020, and that was the sale of the BNB that I bought before the price explosion of 2021, there being a good reason why I made the decision to do it at $240 per BNB and I am still happy that I did it, as I did not consider BNB as a short investment, but as a long term investment.

I follow an investment mentality that refers to understanding well the asset I am acquiring and looking for ways that can work for me regardless of the price, but this does not mean that I am blind to market movements, but I look for other characteristics that give me confidence in the investment I am making, and at the time of making the purchase in late 2020, BNB fulfilled this, but I did not lose confidence until January 2023, when I made the decision to sell all of my BNB.

What happened was that it was discovered that there is more BNB than initially proposed and it also happened that there were strange movements in coinmarketcap (owned by Binance), such as the case of a cryptocurrency with small capitalization that started to be in the top 50, and then went down to where it was before.

My decision was simple, I exchanged the BNB for Hive and HBD that I removed from the Hive blockchain in order to have a better control of those assets, which today I still think it was a good idea, and the news that I am about to tell you, only makes me keep my confidence about that decision.

Today we were "surprised" with a news from PAXOS, which says that they are not going to continue backing BUSD in 2024, and from the end of this month they are going to stop issuing BUSD, which inevitably made BUSD lose the value of 1-1 with the $ (at least temporarily).

This is news that was expected for those of us who stopped trusting Binance, and although it is not something concerning something inside BUSD, but rather a political attack aimed at Binance's stablecoin, it is still something may uncover many other things that are shouted secrets, such as that there is much more BUSD than is reported, because PAXOS backs BUSD on the Ethereum blockchain, but there is no talk about BUSD on the BSC blockchain.

Today I took my other decision, and that is to change all my BUSD to another stable currency (USDT) that I can use in the BSC network and that is accepted in other exchanges, since it is the money I use to do my arbitrage and I cannot have it blocked (even if it is generating 20% annual return).

What is happening with Binance should be something that we have to take into account, because they are early and very noticeable alerts, that tell us that Binance's health may be failing, so we can not continue to see Binance as a very big company that can't fall, because we saw what happened with FTX and the result will always be the same, many people lose money and the market continues to exist.

The great advantage that HBD has is that it is not a centralized currency and has a good mechanism to maintain its price stability, but it also has a great feature that I see as much more valuable, and that is that we can see what is the actuality of HBD and we do not have to blindly trust what a company says and whose health depends on being able to make customers and investors believe in what they say, plus if you put it in HBD savings you can earn 20% annual return.

The confidence that an investment gives us should be the first thing we have to see, and confidence goes beyond the price and that we think it is doing something positive for humanity, since it refers to that we understand how everything is working inside the company or chain, that we understand who makes the decisions, and that we have the freedom to decide what is best for us.

Something I have learned in the last 4 months is that no crypto company is too big to fall, and this includes Binance, so I don't know if it will fall or not, but I do know that it is not impossible for this to happen, so it is better to make decisions today, so we don't have to cry tomorrow.

Hace 1 mes hice una venta que no habia querido hacer desde el 2020, y fue la venta de los BNB que compre antes de la explosion de precios del 2021, existiendo una buena razon por la cual tome la decision de hacerlo en los 240$ por BNB y me sigo sintiendo feliz de haberlo hecho, ya que no consideraba a BNB como una inversion corta, sino como una inversion a largo plazo.

Sigo una mentalida de inversion que se refiere a entender bien el activo que estoy adquiriendo y buscar maneras de que me puedan funcionar sin importar el precio, pero esto no quiere decir que soy ciego a los movimientos de los mercados, sino que busco otras caracteristicas que me den confianza en la inversion que estoy haciendo, y al momento de hacer la compra a finales del 2020, BNB cumplia con esto, pero no perdi la confianza hasta Enero del 2023, cuando tome la decision de vender todo mi BNB.

Lo que ocurrio fue que se descubrio que existe mas BNB que el propuesto inicialmente y tambien ocurrio que hubo movimientos raros en coinmarketcap (propiedad de Binance), como el caso de una criptomoneda con poca capitalizacion que comenzo a estar en los primeros 50, para luego bajar a donde se encuentra posteriormente.

Mi decision fue simple, cambios los BNB por Hive y por HBD que retire a la blockchain de Hive para poder tener un mejor control de esos activos, lo que hoy en dia sigo pensando que fue una buena idea, y la noticia que voy a comentarles solo hace que mantenga mi seguridad sobre esa decision.

Hoy nos pudimos “sorprender” con una noticia de PAXOS, la cual dice que no van a seguir respaldando a BUSD en el 2024, y a partir de finales de este mes van a dejar de emitir BUSD, lo cual inevitablemente hizo que BUSD perdiera el valor de 1-1 con el $ (al menos de forma temporal).

Esta es una noticia que era esperable para quienes dejamos de confiar en Binance, y aunque no es algo referente a algo que se encuentre dentro de BUSD, sino que es un ataque politico dirigido a la moneda estable de Binance, sigue siendo algo puede destapar muchas otras cosas que son secretos gritados, como que existe mucho mas BUSD del que esta reportado, porque PAXOS respalda los BUSD en la cadena de Ethereum, pero no se habla sobre el BUSD en la cadena de BSC.

Hoy tome mi otra decision, y es cambiar todos mis BUSD a otra moneda estable (USDT) que pueda usar en la red de BSC y que sea aceptada en otros exchanges, ya que es el dinero que uso para hacer mi arbitraje y no puedo tenerlo bloqueado (aunque este generando 20% de rendimiento anual).

Lo que esta ocurriendo con Binance debe ser algo que tenemos que tomar en cuenta, porque son alertas tempranas y muy notables, que nos dicen que la salud de Binance puede estar fallando, por lo que no podemos seguir viendo a Binance como una empresa muy grande para caer, porque ya vimos lo ocurrido con FTX y el resultado siempre va a ser el mismo, mucha gente pierde dinero y el mercado continua existiendo.

La gran ventaja que tiene HBD es que no es una monera centralizada y tiene un buen mecanismo para mantener su estabilidad de precio, pero tambien tiene una gran caracteristica que yo veo como mucho mas valiosa, y es que podemos ver cual es la actualidad de HBD y no tenemos que confiar ciegamente en lo que dice una empresa cuya salud depende de poder hacer que los clientes e inversores crean en lo que dicen, ademas de que si lo colocar en ahorros puedes ganar 20% de rendimiento anual.

La confianza que nos da una inversion debe ser lo primero que tenemos que ver, y la confianza va mas alla del precio y que pensemos que esta haciendo algo positivo por la humanidad, ya que se refiere a que entendamos como esta funcionando todo por dentro de la empresa o cadena, que entendamos quienes toman las decisiones, y que tengamos la libertad de decidir lo que es mejor para nosotros.

Algo que he aprendido en los ultimos 4 meses es que ninguna empresa cripto es muy grande como para caer, y esto incluye a Binance, por lo que no se si puede caer o no, pero si se que no es imposible que esto ocurra, por lo que es mejor tomar decisiones hoy, para no tener que llorar mañana.
