The "Bitcoin Suck" makes its mark / El “Bitcoin Suck” se hace notar
English
A few days ago we had a rise in the price of Bitcoin, giving us a movement that could break the resistance of $ 10,500 and stand at $ 11,400 and then adjust to $ 10,900 to consolidate in a range close to that price to date.
What's interesting about this move, besides the fact that it confirms the upward movement we'll have in the coming days and weeks, is the so called "Bitcoin Suck" which refers to the decrease in the price of altcoins while Bitcoin continues to rise in price, but personally I've been able to see a pattern where altcoins usually stay the same price in a state of "paralysis" when compared to the USDT, but when we make the comparison with the BTC, for example Link/Btc, or Xtz/Btc, they usually give a decrease in price.
This is logical considering that if the price remains static in relation to the USDT while Bitcoin is taking on more and more value, we can expect that less and less Bitcoin will be needed to buy altcoins.
Bitcoin
This isn't usually such a strict rule, because there are some currencies that go down by 20% while bitcoin goes up by 10%, which says that these altcoins have gone down in price compared to the USDT, as well as some that have stayed the same or haven't gone down as much compared to the Bitcoin increase, which tells us that these altcoins have gone up a bit compared to the USDT, but it's not as big as the Bitcoin rise.
It's also something that we have to take into account to get trading opportunities in a bullish, bearish or consolidated Bitcoin market.
Let's look at some examples:
ChainLink
Link has been kept in a range between $8 and $7
We can notice a good drop in price compared to Bitcoin
Tezos
We can see a consolidation between $3 and $2.5
We see a graph in XTZ/BTC we can see a 26% drop
And while we can find other pairs that look similar, we should also know that the exact opposite can happen when King Bitcoin rests after a period of dramatic rise, so altcoins usually regain their balance in terms of the price of Bitcoin.
