A Queen’s visit

A relaxed Saturday afternoon. I'm sitting in my backyard, engrossed in a book, when suddenly I hear a loud strange noise. While Looking up at the sky, I see a black cloud between the white clouds. Soon I realize this is no ordinary cloud, and the buzzing of thousands of bees becomes clearer.

Since my cousin is a beekeeper and I have grown up with bees, I know not to panic. I sit quietly, and the swarm of bees passes me and disappears to the front of my house. I follow the hive at an appropriate distance. The queen has now chosen a small tree in my front yard as a new place to live, and the rest of her tribe also resides in my tiny tree.

I am honored that these beautiful animals have chosen my garden, but I soon realize this is not a suitable place for the bees and the people who walk by here daily.

Of course, I first thought of my cousin, who has always had bees but was forced to stop with this hobby during his student years. Still, I call him.

"I have a beautiful swarm of bees. Are you interested in picking up your hobby again?" Less than half an hour later, he is standing next to me.

But I hold him back briefly before he starts removing the swarm.

I'll never get another chance like this. The ball with bees hangs very still in my little tree, the weather is excellent, and the bees are very friendly.

No one has been stabbed yet. Of course, I quickly took some pictures with my phone, but I knew they would be even more beautiful with my photo camera.

After this beautiful close-up photo, I was satisfied, and my cousin could do his thing.

With a cigar in his mouth, smoke numbs the bees a bit, and he manages to get the swarm of bees into the hive with a few shakes. He places the pack near the small tree so all the bees still flying around can join their queen.

Now we have to wait until night falls, then all the bees will be in the hive, and it can be moved to a suitable, quiet place.

They found a nice spot in my cousin's garden. He later sends me pictures of the honeycomb the bees have made in my front yard filled with honey over the past few hours.

Talk about busy bees.

The first jar of honey is reserved for me. I'm sure it will taste delicious. It will be unique honey because these bees are too. Not one person had been stung all day.

Amazing, right?

Let's all take care of these beautiful insects.

Wow the first thing that comes in my mind is the honey. How was your cousin? Is he okay? The bees didn't sting him?

Awesome photos! Such a beeutiful site to see! Good job on keeping the bees allowing them to thrive! Be sure to let us see that amazing honey when you get some! Looks like it’ll be rather soon with the rate they’re able to produce!

How lucky! What a sight to behold and a beautiful moment. If that happened to me, I wouldn’t know what to do. I’m glad you had your cousin to help. And I hope that honey tastes sweet.
