Blessed Ramadan/Turkish Delight
We already hear and see enough negativity around us, turn on the TV, and the news throws you one sad event after another.
That's why I want to share this small but very grateful moment with you all.
I work with colleagues who are religious or do not precisely adhere to religion; this is no secret for our guests, either.
That makes it so unique that today we were surprised with an extraordinary gesture.
This morning when my colleague and I greeted the guests who came in, we were handed a gift and wished all of us a blessed Ramadan.
That was such a unique and positive gesture. You are embracing someone you know who doesn't share the same faith and allowing them to participate in the celebration of this. That shows a big heart.
Ms. Kilic, thanks for the delicious Turkish delight on behalf of all my colleagues.
What a wonderful surprise.
Finally, I wish everyone, religious or not, a blessed Ramadan.

Ramadan is mainly for the purpose of fasting, and rendering alms.
Christians also render nice gestures when they fast, but I think the Muslim community take it personal.
They believe for their prayers of fasting to be answered, they need to render a show of continuous good deeds and not be sober in the process of fasting.
