DO NOT GIVE IN TO YOUR INNER DESIRES TO STOP TRYING; PERSEVERANCE IS THE KEY.

To be truthful, it gets tiring and exhausting. Most times, you wonder what in the world are you doing. If you don't wonder, I do and I'm sure I'm not alone. In this financial race, there will be difficulty and I'm certain a lot of us are already facing it especially few of us that are self employed. In those difficult times, perseverance will most likely get us through.

Perseverance is the continued effort to achieve something despite difficulty or delay in reaching desired goals. This have to do with not giving in to the inner desire of giving up. It has to do with seeing the future goals and allowing it to be our driving force. Often times we pour our efforts, time and energy into something and at the end of the day it looks like we are wasting them all. At that point, it become so evident to put a stop to it all but that's when we are supposed to come stronger.

The race for wealth is not for the weak hearted, it is for the strong hearted and I must add that anyone can be strong hearted. In as much as perseverance can be a natural gift for some people, it can also be learned. It's not something that will come over you at once but with gradual practice and following some simple steps, it can definitely be a part of us.

One important factor that can make perseverance an easy thing to do is setting goals. Not just any goals but meaningful goals and ways to achieve them. This is the number one driving force. After setting these goals, review ways of achieving them every week at most. See what you've achieved and where you are lacking behind. Make necessary changes if need be and focus on the important ones.

After setting your goals and organising them, the next thing to do is to be persistent with them. Now this is the difficult part especially when things aren't going as planned. When this happens, disciplined should be called into the situation. It's important to stay on the course of action. Either you follow the normal way of doing things or implementing new methods is not the main issue. What matters is that you do not stop nor quit. You keep on going and pursuing the goals by being persistent.

Finally, Learn from mistakes. Failures are inevitable. Infact, they are needed for growth. Sadly, nothing kills moral than Failure. Just as it has the potential to motivate you, it has greater potential of discouraging you. It now depends on which impact you want the failure to have on you. Motivate you or discourage you? I'd say the latter is better. When you are knocked down, pick yourself up and see where you go wrong. Set up new strategies on how not to make those mistakes again. It also help to review our goals from time to time. It helps greatly.

By doing all these, it will be easier to stay on the path. In summary, perseverance can be acquired. Most of us don't have it but since it's important and needed, it's necessary we find ways for it to be a part of us.

Perseverance and persistence, sure keys to success. Failure is a better route to success, not an end to it. In reference, I saw a podcast talking about showing up for yourself as much as you study the algorithm of whatever you want to do. Excellent piece, thumbs up!

You're absolutely right. Even though its not easy, one shouldn't lose sight of our goals. Thank you for the comment.
