I bet a lot of us grew up not knowing what cryptocurrency is even after college for some, in this rapidly evolving world where crypto has discovered a lot of potential that was hidden, it is still a shame that the use of cryptocurrency is still banned in so many countries, rather than embrace this amazing development in the use of internet in the 21st century. In this [post, I will be highlighting some reasons why cryptocurrency needs to be unbanned in my country Nigeria for instance, and instead added into the school's curriculum.

Cryptocurrency are built on blockchain which can be difficult to understand, teaching students about how the blockchain operates and even beyond can lead some to the right career path if it piques their interest, it's all about catching them young, and the younger they get to know about the blockchain, you will be shocked with creative developments these youngsters can add to the blockchain.

2 Financial literacy is achievable effortlessly

The setup of the hive blockchain for instance offers diverse options for saving, also in the form of holding also known as staking, investment, when the bull comes, we smile, and it also teaches us to take rational risk, why should such an opportunity about knowing how to earn, invest and manage our finances be taken away from student, learning through experience has proven to be the best form of learning.

3 Innovation and Entrepreneurship

How many of us feel like our hive account is like a business you wake up to every day, the blockchain has provided us with innovation to showcase our different skills, and even develop them, we also develop an entrepreneur mindset because we are always working towards growing our account just like business owner look towards business growth.

4 Cyber threats can be lesson

Learning about cryptocurrency also means learning about how to keep my digital currency and account safe from cyber theft, introducing cyber security awareness to students makes them aware and keeps them alert, from online threats, they will be smarter and one step ahead which will likely lessen cyber threats

**5 Globalization **

Cryptocurrency runs on a decentralized system, also it has show to be borderless, someone in Africa can make a transaction with someone in Europe without any hiccups, we have to face using the centralized form of banking, this will make students appreciate cryptocurrency more as it opens them to the international word, also make them understand international finance and currency, staying updated with how finance works in other countries. The ability to think globally is achieved through the study of cryptocurrency.

Cryptocurrency intends to bring more growth to individuals and the world at large, the major reason the government is banning it, especially in Nigeria is for citizens to not interrupt their flow of income using the centralized form of banking which has been made very expensive for the citizen to run even simple transactions, but I'm sure this would last for long as a lot of youths are already embracing the future of the internet and its life-changing opportunities, it's only a matter of time, our country will have no option than to let cryptocurrency take its right spot in the country also making it is a part of the school curriculum, only then will the improvement needed in the economy be seen as life will be impacted positively.
