El drama está enfocado en la vida de On Ma Eum (Kim Se Jeong), una ex miembro del equipo nacional de Judo quien en su última competencia se desgarró un ligamento del tobillo, dejándola fuera del juego por bastante tiempo. Al darse cuenta de que tenía que encontrar otra cosa a la cual dedicarse, comenzó a desempeñarse en trabajos sencillos que no requerían estudios universitarios, hasta que un día se enteró que la empresa de webtoon de la cual era una fiel usuaria, estaba en búsqueda de un editor.
On Ma Eum es una persona llena de optimismo y ganas de superación, por lo que sorprendió al gerente del departamento con su personalidad, aunque lastimosamente, no fué suficiente razón para contratarla. Meses después, por circunstancias de la vida, recibe una llamada de la empresa y le ofrecen el puesto de forma temporal. Aquí comienza un capítulo nuevo en su vida. |
The drama focuses on the life of On Ma Eum (Kim Se Jeong), a former member of the national Judo team who in her last competition tore a ligament in her ankle, leaving her out of the game for quite some time. Realizing that she had to find something else to do, she started doing simple jobs that didn't require university studies, until one day she found out that the webtoon company she was a loyal user of was looking for an editor.
On Ma Eum is a person full of optimism and desire to excel, so she surprised the manager of the department with her personality, but unfortunately, it was not enough reason to hire her. Months later, due to life circumstances, she receives a call from the company and is offered the position on a temporary basis. Here begins a new chapter in her life. |

Algo que me encantó de este K-drama, es que nos contaron el trascamara de la creación de webtoon, todo el esfuerzo que deben poner los artistas de webtoon para poder compartir sus historias. Estos artistas deben invertir prácticamente su día trabajando en sus diseños, lo que conlleva a que desarrollen problemas de salud como cálculos en los riñones, dolor muscular, fatiga, stress, deterioro mental, síndrome del túnel carpiano, entre otras.
Hay muchas personas talentosas que sueñan con que sus creaciones sean publicadas, pero es importante que vean todo lo que implica dedicarse a esta profesión, además de que al conocer todos los obstáculos por los que deben pasar, los consumidores puedan medirse a la hora de expresar su opinión sobre los mismos, porque suelen despreciar una obra por simplemente no ser de su gusto y esto afecta al creador más de lo que creen. |
Something I loved about this K-drama, is that they told us about the behind the scenes of webtoon creation, all the effort that webtoon artists must put in to be able to share their stories. These artists have to spend practically their whole day working on their designs, which leads them to develop health problems such as kidney stones, muscle pain, fatigue, stress, mental deterioration, carpal tunnel syndrome, among others.
There are many talented people who dream of having their creations published, but it is important that they see all that is involved in this profession, and also that by knowing all the obstacles they must go through, consumers can be measured when expressing their opinion about them, because they often despise a work for simply not being to their liking and this affects the creator more than they think. |

También tratan la situación desde la perspectiva de los editores, que a veces se puede pensar que su trabajo consiste solo en producir y compartir las historias, pero en realidad también deben reclutar diseñadores, encargarse de cada artista y asegurarse de que cumplan con su trabajo, lo que tiene sus complicaciones a nivel personal.

La etapa de los 20 es muy importante, por eso valoro mucho el mensaje de este K-drama, donde se enfocan en la lucha por conseguir una profesión que nos apasione, de saber identificar cada etapa de nuestra vida para saber a qué debemos darle prioridad. Por lo que no veremos una gran historia de amor de parejas, sino de amor al trabajo y de amistad laboral.
Me encantó el crecimiento personal de cada personaje, y la importancia de saber escuchar y analizar las situaciones. Obviamente que puede nacer el amor cuando se convive con alguien, pero es algo secundario en esta historia y para mí, fué lo mejor de todo. Le doy un 8/10 ⭐ |
The 20's are a very important stage, that's why I really appreciate the message of this K-drama, where they focus on the struggle to get a profession that we are passionate about, to know how to identify each stage of our life to know what we should prioritize. So we will not see a great love story of couples, but of love for work and work friendship.
I loved the personal growth of each character, and the importance of knowing how to listen and analyze situations. Obviously love can be born when you live with someone, but it's something secondary in this story and for me, it was the best of all. I give it an 8/10 ⭐ |

Que interesante, casualmente he muchas criticas sobre este drama de Kim Se Jeong, es mas el bajo rating que tuvo en Corea del sur me sorprendió un poco, no se si lo vea, pero me gusta el aspecto del crecimiento profesional en la relacion laboral que comentas, eso resulta atractivo.
Hey! Si, tuvo bajo rating porque no es el típico K-drama donde vemos una hermosa y divertida historia de amor. A mí particularmente me encantó, y no me hizo falta el drama o romance, por eso lo recomiendo ✨
The ending was not something I expected and I really wanted it to have another sequel. I want to know the continuation of On Ma Eum. Overall though, I love how positive On Ma Eum was and it was refreshing to watch. I wrote about a bit of this review when it only aired for 2 episodes or 3.
