The Pastoral Care and Evangelism Team Building and Recreation

There are many events in my life that I can say that God is very good because he did not abandon me and forsake me, and His love for me is what gives me the strength to overcome every trial that I have gone through. Today I would like to share with all of you one of the happiest events I had with my fellow Pastors when I first attended the annual Pastoral Care and Evangelism Team Building and Recreation at a Resort in Buru-un Iligan City.

Once a year in the month of October at the end, a bonding activity is conducted for the Pastors in our District so that all the Pastors in all the Sections from Section 1, 2 and 3 can get to know each other and bond together. The activity that it was led by my Senior Pastor Pastor Dodz because he is the Chairman of the Pastoral Care and Evangelism Department of our District.

At around 7:00 in the morning we were ready because it was only around 5:00 in the morning when we woke up to take a shower and get dressed so that when it was time to leave everything was okay . We even traveled to the venue, a resort and it is the Villa Elemento, Resort in Mimbalot Buru-un Iligan City. We got there around 8:20 and when we arrived, some Pastors had arrived from Section 1 whose place was quite far away, so when they arrived they were all taken care of and given coffee.

While our Pastors are busy having coffee, we Youth Pastors along with the other youths who are there are also busy taking pictures of the sights that can be seen there because many Pastors have not yet started waiting. to arrive from distant places. So we took these hours to take pictures of whatever beautiful scenery there was.

By 10:00 in the morning, quite a few Pastors had already arrived, so our activity for the day began with the opening prayer and songs for God or Praise and Worship and in Section 2 the assigned to carry it. It's just the joy of feeling to be able to give thanks and praise and worship to God in every work we do for Him alone.

After the songs of thanksgiving and praise and worship to God, it was followed immediately by the sharing of the Words of God and the one who shared it was our District Treasurer, Pastor Ver Baldoman. Here he shared the importance of why it is necessary to have this work of team building and recreation for Pastors to build trust and unity with each other, and it is really important for all of us because we are all just one District or one organization that there must be unity in each Section and with each other with the help of God.

Now, since it's almost noon and everyone is hungry, it's time for our lunch and I can see that there are a lot of foods prepared for this day and they will be delicious. One of the ways that everyone can bond is through this, sharing whatever food is on the table and thank God because we are all really full from the food that has been prepared.

In the afternoon, around 1:00 p.m., just in time because everyone had rested, it was time for our Team Building and Recreation. The first game was the Tug of War and the first to play was the girls who had four groups and when it started there was a group that lost easily until there was a winner. Next are the boys who also have four groups. We boys became more challenging because it took longer to finish each match. The first two groups took a long time, they pulled the rope for a long time and group 2 won. Now for my group, group 4, and our opponent is group 3. This is a really tough fight because we took a long time. pulled the rope for about a minute until our group was the winner and we were fighting for champion. In the Championship, it was group 2 and our group was group 4. Everything became more challenging and competitive because it was the championship round and even though we were a little tired in round 1, we still continued. Our fight seemed to take more than a minute of pulling the rope until there was a winner and the winner was our group, group 4, although we were very tired and our hands hurt, we were still grateful we thank God because we are the ones who won even though we almost lost but still recovered, thank God. There were even two games that we made and our team building and recreation activity became more fun because of the games.

We finished our work today around 4:00 in the afternoon and thank God because this work was successful and everyone was happy because we all bonded and were still full of food. Around 4:30, the others left gradually because it was still a long way to go home and thank God because we all made it home safe and sound.
