Traditional Homes Entry Challenge: " Simple But Unique Houses Here In The Sitio"

Greetings everyone here in our community. Today, is another challenge initiated by our Great Friend, @justinparke with the theme; Traditional House. This challenge is very interesting and as for that I decided to join the challenge and to share some of the Unique houses here in our Sitio. Most of the houses here are made of light materials just like lumbers, Bamboos and Nipa. It keeps the place particularly in inside of the house always cool and relaxing even if it is in the middle of the hot sunny day. I have three simple houses made of light materials, and this structures are owned by my Aunt and some of my Relatives here.

The first house that I am going to share is my Uncle's house, it is made of bamboo pieces including its walls and floors. Bamboos are very important here specially when we decided to built a house made of bamboo.

This is my Uncle's house walls and it is also made of Bamboo. They sliced the bamboo into an equal measures and removing those bamboo skin and dried to the sun for 1 day. It keeps the bamboo more flexible and easily nailed without any cracks. This bamboo is also good for putting some varnish to make it shine and glossy, this can make even more attractive.

The house floors and kitchen of this house is also made of bamboo, at it is very nice and cool when we lay down and sleep on this floor. My Uncle don't have any plastic screen used for windows or any parts of the house instead they nailed and piled some bamboo, so that no animals can enter inside of the house just like dogs and cats.

There are also some of the walls that covered with Nipa materials just like this one. It can make the house very attractive specially when we applied varnish on it to make it shine and glossy. There is also a unique pattern that can attracted to other people. This kind of house is very cool even if it is already summer season.

Next is my Aunt's simple but unique house, and others called this Half-house. It means that the first floor is made of concrete while the second one is made of lumber floors. The base of the first floor that serve as a living room is made of concrete also while the foundation on the second floor that serve as a bedrooms is made of lumbers. The walls consists of hardeflex and lumber walls out of Antipolo tree. This can be also applied with varnish to make it very attractive.

The walls contains a planks and the windows are also decorated with plastic screen. There are also some parts of the windows that designed with this pieces of bamboos into a diamond shape, and it is also traditionalized here in our place, since my relatives started to build a house.

And most of all our Simple and unique house here in the place. The walls are made of hardeflex also just like my Aunt's house and it is very attractive. My Father do his best to build this beautiful house, each windows contains a big window jams made of mahogany tree with green plastic screen on it.

Our house floors are made with mahogany tree and they make it into a planks so that it can be very easy to nailed and it will also organized. To make it shiny and glossy, instead of varnishing it we decided to molten a red shinny wax and applied to the floor many times to make it color red and shinny. Our Sala is made of Banesters, A kind of whole bamboo cut in an equal measures and nailed to the lumber to make it a fence and we painted it with color blue to make it more attractive.

This is the Second time of renovating our house, that time when we still not renovating it, this walls are made of bamboo pieces piled in alternate styles and we called it "Hayang-Kulob". But as we renovated our house, the walls are completely used of hardefllex and this cannot be burned or wet.
