Study trip to Lisbon
Hello dear friends,
Today we are leaving the territory of the former Yugoslavia and I am taking you on a short trip to Lisbon. The trip was business, educational, but very important to me, regardless of the fact that I could not walk around this beautiful city very much.
I knew about Lisbon that it was the capital of Portugal and that during the Second World War it was neutral and that it was the safest harbor-port where many Europeans arrived, fleeing the war.
Second, what I remember is Erich Maria Remarque's novel "Night in Lisbon", where the central part of the novel takes place in Lisbon.
Next to Porto and Madrid, Lisbon is the largest city of the Iberian Peninsula.
The city is located at the confluence of the Tagus River with the Atlantic Ocean, and the translation of the name Lisbon literally means "peaceful port."
The city itself has a big difference in height. That's why it looks extremely hilly and densely populated.

The central part of the city is represented by Rossio Square, which they say is "the heart of the city."
What caught my attention in the city itself was the small crowd on the streets, only a few buses, because transportation through the city is intensively done by the metro. Extremely clean air, without much noise in the city and with a moderate Mediterranean climate, is after Tenerife, my choice where I would like to live.
Due to the large number of lectures, seminars and practice, I did not have time to visit them all, because I returned to the hotel extremely tired. I promise you, Lisbon, that I will come to you again, but as a tourist and I will get to know every part of you!

I love Lisbon! My favorite city in Europe! Greetings from Italy :)
Lisbon has that typical charm of a coastal place and the beauty of its own architecture.
Impresionante vista. Tremenda ciudad. Una arquitectura muy bien corservada y uniforme.
