Visit to Ljubljana

Hello dear friends.
Today I am taking you to a beautiful city located in Slovenia. During the old Yugoslavia, Slovenia was the northernmost republic bordering Italy and Austria. The capital was and remains the city of Ljubljana. It is the smallest capital city in Europe, and the largest in Slovenia.
The beauty of this city is first of all in the river Ljubljanica that flows through the city itself. Several bridges have been built on it, and there is also an arranged pier for visiting the city by boat.

The most famous and at the same time the main square of Ljubljana is Prešeren Square, which was named after the famous Slovenian poet Franz Prešeren.

Next to the square itself is the place "tromostovlje". When we arrived in Ljubljana, they told us to visit that first. Believe me, I had no idea what it could be, but when I got to Prešeren Square, I understood. There are three bridges that are connected. It looks beautiful, so I hope you can see what I'm talking about from the characters.

The next square we visited was the Town Square, which is located near the Ljubljana Cathedral
Then the bridge again, but now the Dragon bridge, because the dragon is the symbol of Ljubljana.

Narrow streets like we saw in some coastal cities can also be seen in Ljubljana. I already said that Ljubljana is a small city, which you can really visit in one day, but you will enjoy every moment, the beauty and strangeness of this city.

Finally, I left it for you to read and see the city of Ljubljana - the castle on the top of the city and you can reach it on foot or as I chose, by funicular that goes from Dragon Square. The feeling is beautiful, as is the view of the city on the river itself.

A warm recommendation for Slovenia and for Ljubljana and a suggestion that if you are going to go by car, make sure to start from Ljubljana and visit Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj - I enjoyed it there, as well as one of the largest European caves, the Postojna Cave, where you can see a rare specimen of a human fish. You drive a cart through the pit.
I hope that I at least managed to tickle your attention and awaken in you the desire to go to Slovenia and Ljubljana, but wherever you stop in Slovenia, you won't go wrong.
