Meet Our Hive Witnesses: Special Edition #9 Featuring Wrestorgonline
As we all know, witnesses are the backbone of the Hive platform—the unsung heroes who ensure everything runs smoothly. They operate critical nodes that keep the platform alive and thriving. Without witnesses, Hive wouldn’t exist, and without us, there would be no content to share and engage with, which is why we need to get familiar with who our witnesses are.
That's why I've created this special edition of "Meet Our Hive Witnesses."
This interview series aims to connect with our witnesses, giving you a closer look at the people who keep Hive running. We’ll dive into their work, motivations, and insights through a series of thoughtful questions.
It is the ninth edition of Meet Our Hive Witnesses Interview and before I continue with the introduction of the next witness that has honoured us to be interviewed, I'd like to say that, as a Hive user who want to see this platform continue to grow and flourish, we all have 30 votes to cast for any Hive witness of our choice and I will say this is the most important 30 votes you will ever cast on this platform for any witnesses that you deem it fit.
This Week’s Episode: Meet the Mind Behind WOO – @wrestorgonline
In this week’s episode, I’m thrilled to introduce a truly passionate contributor to the Hive ecosystem, a seasoned Hive witness, a dedicated community member, and the visionary founder of the Wrestling Organization Online (WOO) game: @wrestorgonline.
With over two years of unwavering service as a Hive witness, @wrestorgonline has played a pivotal role in both the technical and cultural growth of the platform. His contributions go beyond blockchain validation he’s building bridges between gaming, community, and decentralization.
WOO isn’t just a game; it’s a vibrant, competitive world powered by Hive, combining strategic gameplay with the rewards of blockchain. Behind that world is a creator who believes in innovation, ownership, and empowering the community.
Stay tuned as you get ready to dive into his journey, passion, and the inspiration behind one of Hive’s most exciting projects.

Welcome to my interview, it is a great honor to have you here on the show this week @wrestorgonline
Thanks, below are the answers:wrestorgonline
@wrestorgonline
1 What do you believe is the single most important responsibility of a Hive witness?
@wrestorgonline I think it's keeping the chain Decentralized. That and keeping things running lol.
2 Do you feel the witness election process is accessible and transparent? If not, how can it be improved?
@wrestorgonline Yeah, you can look at who voted for who on chain. It's not hard to find that information.
3 How do you handle the competition among witnesses, and what differentiates you from other witnesses?
@wrestorgonline I don't see it as competition at all. I'm just glad to have a small part in keeping the chain Decentralized and working.
4 Do you think Hive’s DPoS model needs modifications? If yes, what specific changes would you recommend?
@wrestorgonline No.
5 What steps can be taken to ensure more transparency in decision-making, reward distribution, and governance?
@wrestorgonline Vote on witnesses you trust. Other than that I don't think much needs to change.
6 Should witnesses have a formal mechanism for accountability? If yes, how would you envision such a system working?
@wrestorgonline There already is one. It's the entire voting process. If someone loses trust then they lose votes. If someone wants a bigger vote then they need more stake. It's the same as shares in a company and board members. You can vote them out with your shares.
7 Since you became a witness, what impact have you made on the community that other witnesses have not done?
@wrestorgonline We specifically work with aiding retired wrestlers and we have used funds from being a witness to give back to the wrestlers we are partnered with
8 How do witnesses collaborate to solve community-wide issues, and what can be done to improve this process?
@wrestorgonline There are witness channels in discords and there is the hive matter most. I'm unaware of any specific community wide issues and I would need more specifics as the answer can change depending on various factors.
9 Do you believe there should be a structured process for witness succession or rotation to encourage fresh ideas?
@wrestorgonline No, I think voting on witnesses works just fine. I mean, regular users can come up with ideas and do a DHF or start to strum up backing from the community to make changes.
10 How do you handle criticism from the community, and how has it shaped your approach as a witness?
@wrestorgonline I haven't had any and it wouldn't change anything anyway because I can't make everyone happy. I'm willing to listen to feedback and ideas but if it's just criticism then I don't pay much attention to it.
11 How do you see the role of witnesses evolving as the Hive platform grows and changes?
@wrestorgonline I don't see why it really needs to change. It's been working fine the way it is since it started.
12 Some users feel witnesses hold too much power. What are your thoughts on decentralizing witness influence further?
@wrestorgonline That doesn't make any sense when you actually think of it. To get anything pushed through on chain code wise you have to have top 20 agreeing to it. It's not like 1 witness can do something to force everything else. Look what happened with Justin Sun. He had to con the exchanges into giving him HP of users funds to push through his witnesses. Then after a small witness war they just forked it. Thinking witnesses have too much power is insane to me.
13 Since you became a witness, what are some of the challenges you have faced and how did you get past those challenges.
@wrestorgonline Setting up the servers and everything. I'm not a dev so it wasn't the easiest thing to get done.
14 As a witness or developer, how would you like to be remembered in the Hive community?
@wrestorgonline I'm not a developer and I don't really care if I'm remembered. I hope that WOO makes an impact to the wrestling industry in a big way and I hope the hive community remembers the wrestlers that have been helped through WOO and Hive.
It is so awesome finally having a chat with you @wrestorgonline

Absolutely love this series! @wrestorgonline is a solid witness and a true builder. WOO is one of the coolest projects on Hive. Great choice for this edition! 👏🔥
Thanks so much @oredebby
Witnesses are the backbone! 💪 Good to see Wrestorgonline getting some love! Always good for the stable.
You are very right, they are the backbone of the hive Blockchain
Now that I think about this, I have been missing a lot not checking out these posts. Although I only found out about it this year.
Being a witness is not something easy from what I have learnt so far from the responses especially from those who aren’t developers. I’m particularly impressed by the fact that not being a developer didnt stop some of these witnesses from being one.
@wrestorgonline I love all your responses. Straightforward and honest. I think I was actually part of people that thought a particular witness might be very powerful but after reading this and knowing that it doesn’t work like that, I understand some things better now.
Everyone needs to know that whatever happens to hive in the future is totally part of their choices of who they chose to vote for as a witness or choose not to vote for because when we vote, we give our support to whatever you develop for the hive blockchain and that is us indirectly making the rules.
This was really worth the read and I’m particularly grateful to you @goldenproject for coming up with this brilliant idea. You just earned a follower. 😌

You are not yet late to the show. There's still more to come.
Yeah, it not an easy job for them. Most are always busy doing one or two to make sure hive keeps functioning.
And thanks for the follow.
Yay! I’m glad I’m still early to the party!
For real. Well done to them.
This was a wholesome Interview, I really learnt a lot from it,
Keep it up👍
Thank you
