"Water no get enemy" is a Nigerian slang phrase that translates to "Water does not have an enemy." It was the title of the song in Fela Kuti's 1975 album Expensive Shit, which had outstanding songs.
Fela Kuti believed that music might be used to combat a corrupt administration. The song was released to demonstrate a firm stand against the Nigerian government's mistreatment.

The song goes on for far longer than other Afrobeat tracks. The idiom "Water has no opponent" simply indicates that you cannot fight water and that if you tried, you would drown. He rejoices in his win over the authorities and the fact that his life has been spared.
"Water no get enemy" was one of the first songs to introduce the principles of Afrobeat, which included a ten-minute long perfect synchronization of all musical instruments.

This has to be my favorite South African performer; the first african female pop star. I remember my father playing this song in the house while I was pouring cornflakes before going to school. Despite the fact that she was in South Africa, her sound had traveled across the continent.

Millions of young people in the world's most populous black country would never forget the events of that day. A nationwide demonstration against police violence was held by young people across the country.

It was an attempt to demonstrate that by banding together, we can stand up to any sort of intimidation or oppression from any force. With the government killing youths in the EndSars protest, this heroic gesture turned into a bloodbath.
Burna boy takes up his microphone to sing and memorialize the dead heroes of that day, as well as to criticize the government for persecution and corruption. When we listen to this music, it always makes us feel emotional.
