THE IMPORTANT POINTS I LEARNT FROM TODAY'S ZOOM MEETING.

  1. The mcgi is made up of members who previously under different churches and faith. They have seen righteousness more than before, hence they transferred.
    Ephesians 4: 4 - We are one body and one spirit, as we were called out by God.

  2. We study the word of God to analyse our point of Faith. The greek word Ekklesia means "Called out by God". The members of the first church were called out by God.
    Galatians 1:13 - God called out Paul from the Religion of Judaism to be his Apostle, forsaking his former beliefs .

  3. The scribes, pharises and sadduces were called out to join the first church.
    John 11:52 - The children of God are scattered abroad but The Lord God shall gather them in one Body.

  4. The church of God is the body where God gathers the children of God.

  5. The name " Church of God" appears in 11 verses of the Bible, showing that it is called in His name, the name of the owner.
    Isaiah 43:7 - Everyone called by his name, His for his glory. What be formed, he made it perfectly.

MY FORMER BELIEFS OR EXPECTATION THAT WAS IMPROVED AFTER LISTENING TO TODAY'S BIBLE STUDY.

  1. It is so much better to name the church what is written in the bible which is Church of God not giving it different names like the Jehovah witness, seventh day adventist, lutherian church, Church of England, Roman Church,etc

  2. The religion of worshipping the creature more than the Creator is against God's will ( Buddhism and Hinduism )
    Romans 12: 9 - Loving without dissolution, avoiding evil also so shall we cleave to good. THE GOOD HERE IS OBEYING GOD.

  3. It is false to say you do not need to join a church to be saved.
    John 12: 48: He who rejects and receives not the word of God has judged God, and he will be judged on the last day with his word.

WAYS IN WHICH THE STUDY AFFECT US THAT CAN MAKE US A BETTER PERSON THAT WE CAN USE IN OUR DAILY LIVES.

  1. The naming of the Church should be bassd on the name of God
    Proverbs 18:10 - The name of God is a strong tower, when the righteous run into it, they are safe.

  2. The naming of the Church of God is a commandment
    Provervs 22 : 1 - A good name is better chosen than Silver and Gold which are riches.

  3. The Church of God is already established, we only need to join the church by accepting the GOSPEL (THE BIBLE).
    Ephesians 3:6 We the Gentiles are MEMBERS of the body, fellow heirs and partakers of his promises in Christ by the Gospel.

  4. We are members of the body, the body is the Church of God and The church is an institution of Salvation.

  5. We need no man to accept us into a church. God only will accept through the gospel, we accept God.
    Acts 10: 35 - In any nation, any one who fears God and keeps his commandments shall be saved, so only through the Gospel are we members of the church.

We suggest adding more of our personal reflection on the topic discussed, I can give an example here,

Matthew 28:20 - we have learned that we are to obey the commandment of the Lord and preach the gospel in all nations until the end comes but who are the main people who will preach, it is in the church of God as it is written

1 Peter 2:9 - God's people have the obligation to preach the gospel that is found in the one body. In this way we can always add our personal reflection and understanding, we can avoid mass quoting the whole verses.

We have to apply this to avoid any conflict from other communities. I hope we understand, God help us.
