Nation's fund missing like it is magic
When you speak up- "OFF YOUR MIC", the politicians cry
Well, The Federal Republic of Nigeria take a bow.
I hail from a very beautiful country, the self-proclaimed Giant of Africa, the epicenter of the continent's revolution, Africa's economic heartland, and the world's most populated black nation.
You would think that in the twenty-first century, when the human mind is transforming deeply into great innovations, civilization has spread to most parts of the globe, industrialization and technological advancement are on the rise, and the ever-burning desire to make the world a better place is on the rise too, that what you would find in Nigeria is a decelerating from development, high poverty rates, permanent unemployment, and poor working systems, all powered and sponsored by CORRUPTION.
According to history, the country was founded in 1960, however there is a part of the story that they left out: Nigeria began as a business venture that was auctioned off by a corporation. This history sheds light on the never-ending conflicts and struggles to defeat a disease that dates back to the country's inception. Calculate the number of years between 1960 and 2022. Corruption and bribery continue to be the country's unseen rulers.
The main issue in the country when it comes to bribery and corruption is mentality. Bribery and corruption have been embedded in our culture for decades. It has evolved into a way of life, which we might call it our culture and belief system.
It progresses over time because we apply this mentality to government, public services, schools, churches, sports, banking, health, and any other sector of the country.
Corruption is the country's middle name, we should be known as the Federal Republic of Corrupt Nigeria. In this hardly progressing campaign against corruption, you have to question what citizens are supposed to do when the country is a failed state as a result of corruption.
Imagine having a large labor force and abundant natural resources but being unable to use them to change your country into a developed one. The currency has one of the highest unemployment rates in the world.
When I was in high school, we were told that education is the key to success, that we needed to read our books in order to succeed because it would offer us a beautiful life, meet our wants, and have impact on society's growth.
Job chances are always chosen based on "connections to any Member of the selection panel or firm staff," and candidates bribe authorities to have their names included. the panel is crooked enough to only pay attention to individuals who bribed them generously, the selection exams are simply for formalities.
As a result of this action, people without the necessary qualifications are placed in high-risk positions, thus killing the sector because the person in cahrge has little or nothing to offer. His/her only expertise is padding agency budgets, rewarding fake contracts, and repaying the dishonest employer on a regular basis as a way of expressing "Thank you for assisting me."
Meanwhile, qualified people are wandering the streets of the country looking for work; most of them are obliged to work in companies that are unrelated to their field just to make ends meet.
Corruption is to blame for the country's failing sectors. The government is a crooked organization run by politicians who bought their way into power. As a result, the agencies under their oversight would follow in their footsteps.
The health-care system is in shambles; infrastructures are antiquated and overburdened with patients; funding allocated to address these issues are stolen, with bribes paid to authorities to remain quiet.
Hospital beds and surgical equipment are in short supply; the most humiliating event would be a power outage during a surgery, which would have to be finished using a torch or lamp.
CAN IT GET ANY WORSE????
The issue of power generation is also a huge concern, as privatization is simply a way for politicians' close associates to persuade and bribe government officials to sell the plants to them. How can Africa's colossus be so dark??? Power generation and supply would be the most basic present to inhabitants and companies.
Education is just a joke in the nation. Endless battle of strikes from educational bodies because the government failed to pay salaries of the lecturers. Yet, you turn on the TV to read about misappropriation of funds that is capable of paying these salaries. You tend to wonder if it is a curse.
Natural resources exploration is the biggest sector where Corruption looms. The amount of funds spent to bribe officials or individuals when there is oil spillage or Environmental degradation is very sad to see.
How can you be so blind to play with the lives of your People over bribes that would still be exhausted soon. Everyday it is the same story, the same news just another story to deceive the citizens but we know this enemy called Corruption is now a friend.
The Police Force is popularly known to have the slogan "Police is your friend". We can change that slogan to the "Police is your friend with money at hand". The Police is known for being one of the corrupt agencies in the country, with less than $1 on the highway, you could get pass a roadblock without any inspection. The mere fact that you bribed a policeman with money means you are automatically cleared.
Even when a crime is committed, there is a big hope that the police can be bribed to reduce your time in prison or even release early because you bribed the corrupt officers. The loyalty is towards safety of lives and properties based on bribes, so help me God.
Even the selection of a national team is based on Corruption. Imagine a country that is so talented yet producing a good team to represent in sporting activities is a problem because the representatives are not the best or ideal candidates but they are flying the flag because they bribed their ways or a corrupt officials was called to select someone ahead of the original person who would have won or excelled well.
The only industry that is properly working in the country is the Music and Entertainment industry and this is because the government has little or no control on it
The fight against Corruption is a waste effort because you cannot fight the way of life of an organisation that is meant to fight against it.
The easiest scam is creating anti-corruption agencies geared at discovering stolen funds by opposition individuals. It is used as a political agency to cause an agenda.
The only solution to Corruption in the country is dealing with our mentality. We must be able to see that we can be better without this enemy called Corruption. An absolute reshuffling of agencies in the country would yield positive on the fight against Corruption
One would expect that in all this madness, you can run to the judiciary arm of government for a solution. The judiciary is also a corrupt institution with judges and lawyers getting bribed to overturn judgements in people's favour
Individuals who are guilty of stealing and bribing must be held accountable for their actions. We must cleanse the judiciary system to have dignity and uphold the rule of law. Everyone was must be able to answer for their crimes.
Erasing the Corruption mentality naturally places the dying institutions on a path to redemption. The sudden turn around would be desperately amazing to see. It would be great when we see the results.

Its a terrorist act on American soil while some say its not real or Im a mental case. Many know its real. This is an ignored detrimental to humanity domestic and foreign threat. Ask informed soldiers in the American military what their oath is and tell them about the day you asked me why. Nobody has I guess. Maybe someone told ill informed soldiers they cant protect America from military leaders in control with ill intent. How do we protect locked up soldiers from telling the truth?
Devil has influenced mankind to do evil. So faith is the foundation to fight the demons that exist in humans.

Actually, I believe it can get worse, a whole lot worse. But this will only be as long as nothing is done to correct the harm that is already being done and put measures in place to ensure that such does not continue. Until then...
