A big hello to my dear friends from the Wednesday walks—I hope you’re all doing very well and are full of joy and energy.

On a recent trip to the town of Siquisique, I walked to the hospital to accompany my wife as she applied for the documents regarding my mother-in-law’s death.

I’ve previously told you about some of the characteristics of this small and welcoming town in Lara state.

Walking along those wide streets—sparsely populated but full of history, with both rural and more modern houses—made me feel a bit nostalgic because it reminded me of the time I spent working here.

This is where I met my wife, and we got married. I also got to know her family and my mother-in-law, who welcomed me like a son. I have no complaints about her. Although most people don’t have good relationships with their mothers-in-law, my experience was quite the opposite, thank God.

Upon arriving at the hospital, we realize that it is a very modest building without any luxuries. It is the largest health center in the local community.

It is a small hospital consisting of a central module, two side wings that house the emergency room and the doctors’ offices, and, at the back, the inpatient wards.

Next, you can see the administrative modules, built as an extension along the side of the central hall. It is a simple, traditional-style building with a lightweight roof that has been expanded over the years to accommodate population growth.

It would be very helpful if the government took charge of improving its facilities and providing supplies, because the people in this town do not have the resources to go to a clinic

Un caluroso paseo por el hospital de Siquisique

Reciban un gran saludo mis estimados amigos de las caminatas de los miércoles, es mi deseo que todos se encuentren muy bien llenos de alegría y dinamismo.

En reciente salida al pueblo de Siquisique, realicé una caminata hasta el hospital para acompañar a mi esposa a solicitar los documentos por el fallecimiento de mi suegra.

En anterior oportunidad les comenté algunas características de este pequeño y cálido pueblo del estado Lara.

Transitar por esas amplias calles con poca densidad poblacional pero llenas de historia, de casas rurales y otras mas modernas, me causó algo de nostalgia porque recordé la época en que estuve trabajando en este lugar.

Aqui conoci a mi esposa y contajimos matrimonio. También a su familia y a mi suegra que me recibió como un hijo. No tengo ninguna queja de ella. Aunque la mayoria de las personas no tienen buenas relaciones con sus suegras, mi caso fue todo lo contrario gracias a Dios.

Al llegar al hospital nos damos cuenta que es una edificación muy modesta sin nungun tipo de lujos. Es el centto de salud mas grande con que cuenta la población del lugar.

Es un hospital pequeño y está construido con un módulo central, dos alas laterales donde funciona la emergencia y los consultorios y al fondo están los módulos para la hospitalización.

Luego se aprecian los módulos administrativos, construidos en forma de ampliación por el costado de la nave central. Es una construcción sencilla de tipo tradicional y techo liviano que han ido ampliando con el paso de los años, tomando en cuenta el crecimiento de la población.

Sería muy favorable si el gobierno se encargara de mejorar sus instalaciones y dotarlo de insumos, porque la gente de este pueblo no cuenta con recursos para ir a una clínica
