Greetings, dear friends of this family community. I wish you all the best on this Sunday, when we Catholics celebrate Pentecost.

The Feast of Pentecost is celebrated fifty days after Christ’s Resurrection, which we commemorate during Holy Week, and symbolizes the coming of the Holy Spirit into our hearts.

Last night, I attended the vigil before the celebration with my family, where there was a Mass; we participated in the offertory, and at the end, those in attendance shared a meal together.

Religious values are very important because they help bring serenity to our bodies and nourishment to our souls. Furthermore, they foster solidarity among families and among fellow human beings.

The Mass was very well attended and ended around 10 p.m. Then we went to dinner at a place where we usually eat when we want something quick, and there we wrapped up the evening with conversation and small talk.

When we arrived at the restaurant, it was so crowded that we had to wait for a table to open up before we could sit down. They serve really good burgers and sandwiches there, and they always have special deals for large groups. That’s why people go there so often.

It was a special night, where we were able to enjoy both physical and spiritual nourishment.

# Valorando el tiempo en familia

Saludos estimados amigos de esta comunidad familiar, les deseo lo mejor en este domingo en que los católicos celebramos el día de pentecostés.

La fiesta de pentecostés tiene su fecha de celebración luego de cincuenta días de la resurrección de Cristo, que vivimos en la semana santa y simboliza la venida del Espíritu Santo a nuestros corazones.

Anoche asistí con mi familia a la vigilia previa a la celebración, donde hubo una misa, participamos en las ofrendas y al final se hizo un compartir entre los asistentes al evento.

Los valores religiosos son muy importantes porque nos ayudan a darle serenidad a nuestro cuerpo y alimento al alma. Además, estimula la solidaridad entre las familias y entre los semejantes.

La misa estuvo muy concurrida y terminó casi a las 10 de la noche. Luego nos fuimos a cenar en un sitio donde habitualmente comemos cuando queremos algo rápido y allí terminamos la velada entre comentarios y tertulias.

Cuando llegamos al restaurante, estaba tan lleno que nos tocó esperar que desocuparan una mesa para poder acomodarnos. Allí venden hamburguesas y pepitos muy buenos y siempre hacen promociones para grupos grandes. Por eso la gente asiste a ste sitio con mucha frecuencia.

Fue una noche diferente, donde pudimos disfrutar tanto del alimento físico como espiritual.
