It’s been one of my favorites ever since I first tried it back when it first came out, more than a decade ago. Everyone wanted to try it because, unlike Tecate Light, this one had more of everything—malt, alcohol—and its marketing really emphasized that it was the beer for strong men. Joking aside, that really caught on in Mexico, and it was a very popular beer, at least in this part of the country.

Now, less than a year ago, Heineken brought it back with the same recipe and alcohol content. It’s very refreshing, and its crystal-clear appearance is deceiving—making it look like just any other lager, but take that first sip and you’ll know what I’m talking about—you’ll get a strong kick because, while the 5.5% ABV doesn’t seem like much when compared to others (which are 1.5–2% lower), it’ll taste strange on the palate if you’re not used to it.

Es una de mis preferidas desde que la probé ahí por sus inicios cuando salió por primera vez, hace mas de una década, todos querían probarla porque al contrario de la Tecate Light esta tenia mas de todo, malta, alcohol y tenía un marketing muy enfocado en que era la cerveza para hombres fuertes, bromas aparte eso si pegó en México y era una cerveza muy consumida, por lo menos en esta parte de la republica así lo era.

Ahora hace menos de un año Heineken la trajo de vuelta, con su misma receta y cantidad de alcohol, es muy fresca y su aspecto cristalino te engaña Haciéndola parecer una laguer cualquiera, pero al tomar el primer trago sabrás de lo que hablo, una fuerte patada llegará pues los 5.5 % no se oyen tanto comparándolas pues tienen 1.5/2 % menos, pero al paladar si no estas acostumbrado, te sabrá raro.
