Love Garden

As a lover of agriculture who grew up in a house surrounded by a farm on all sides, with all manners of crops present, I was naturally attracted to nature.

When I entered the higher institution and met this garden called "Love Garden", I knew I had found a resting place to frequent, and I was right.

This garden was one of my favourite places back then on campus. It holds so much sweet memories for me and some of my friends.

The garden served a variety of purposes which made me a regular visitor.

Aesthetics
The beauty of this garden which was mostly as a result of the variety of flowers and the orderly manner it was arranged. Some evenings, I would just come there to take in the beauty of nature.

Serene Environment
In a school that was filled with the hustle and bustle of students and staff, it was always pleasant to have a quiet place for relaxation.

Study Place
Among the various purposes love garden served, it was also the perfect reading spot for the outdoor readers. I also enjoyed this benefit a few times but there was another benefit which I maximised in love garden; discussion.

The perfect discussion venue
Love garden offers the best discussion arena for any type of discussion, ranging from academic discussions, religious discussions, political meetings and of course the reason it was dubbed love garden, romantic meetings, lol.

Romantic Venue
I don't know why I left it for last but love garden was a garden for lovers. No love story on campus will be complete without mentioning love garden and the role it played.

All the attributes I mentioned initially gave it the perfect romantic outlook for couples to come and discuss in a quiet, beautiful and welcoming place while enjoying nature.
It was for this reason it got its name.

As someone with little experience with plants, I observed how dutifully the garden was taken care of by the workers and this ignited a hunger in me to own my own garden and replicate the love garden experience there.

Things to note for someone who may want to have a garden

1. Variety is the ingredient; it is necessary to plant various plants as this will prevent having a monotonous outlook. Remember to mix the colours too, bearing the flower colours in mind.

2. Plan it according to your expectations;
   Of course the garden is yours and as such should reflect your own choices, likes and expectations. Enjoy your creativity.

3. Put seats in strategic locations.
   It would definitely be a point for relaxation and as such have areas where one can sit and have a good time with nature, away from the whole noise.

4. Take time to make it good;
   The amount of time you put into the garden would determine if the outcome is as you planned it. It is important to put quality time into the garden and bring in the best hands to assist you achieve your goals.
