This is my special image for you, it's my hometown. La Victoria, Aragua state, Venezuela. It is the place that I visited during my childhood and adolescence. Always thinking of starting a family and being happy, having all the comforts that any family has and simply being happy and having a good time. But time surprises us and we turn life around without realizing it in a very strange way.

I left this beautiful city at the age of 17, to study at the university and achieve a better future for myself. Despite going through many adversities, I managed to have my family and many other things. 4 years ago I returned to my hometown, today at 41 years old the nostalgia for the progress of some former colleagues invades me with nostalgia to see my life turned into a storm. I came back, I love its breeze, its people, I came back but empty-handed and with a deep sadness and economic crisis.

  • I always wanted to live in a building, together with my husband and children. But we all already know the current situation in the country and the few advantages that professionals have.

I haven't told you yet why this place is beautiful, I always come to this place. Despite being a relatively new place in the city, it allows me to breathe calmly, think and see many happy families around me. Today, like some other days, I come to listen in the distance to the music of an excellent café in this shopping center, its owner always with a good atmosphere. Sometimes this side of the mall is totally alone, other times it is very crowded with couples of friends or boyfriends who come to enjoy an exquisite coffee. But you will never stop listening to his music, almost as if according to your thoughts of the day. You can sit in the distance and just listen to their music.

My favorite place, near the windows of the mall. That allows me to think and listen. Some days I applaud myself for everything I manage to leave behind, Other days like today I simply reproach myself for missing opportunities to get ahead. Of not having that home and family I dreamed of and just being happy. Here I contemplate the rain, the sun and those buildings that I love. Dreaming that I walk its corridors, that I climb stairs, that I enter my apartment. It also allows me to see all the movement that happens below; the joy with which families come to enjoy the shopping center. The couples who get out of the car and hug each other. You can contemplate everything from this point.

  • It is a secluded place but among the people. It is a beautiful, quiet place with an exquisite smell of coffee that invites you to dream and reflect. I hope you like it.

The most beautiful place to visit is one that allows you to have a good time and have the harmony you need. The one that connects you back to where your dreams are.

I only went to Maracay once to a kind of stadium for a concert, I didn't have time to see more places in Aragua, I hope one day to see La Victoria
