Buckle basket DIY/ Koszyk na klamerki DIY [ENG / PL]

My buckle basket has deteriorated badly. I no longer remember when I bought it, which is a long time ago. Considering the long and hot summer seasons in Greece, I guess you could say it held up well.
Now the plastic is brittle and the once red color has become rather indeterminate.

Mój koszyk na klamerki bardzo się zniszczył. Nie pamiętam już kiedy go kupiłam, czyli dawno. Biorąc pod uwagę długie i upalne sezony letnie w Grecji, można powiedzieć że dobrze się trzymał.
Teraz plastik jest już kruchy a czerwony kiedyś kolor stał się raczej nieokreślony.

I made the new buckle basket from a 2 liter plastic mayonnaise bucket.
Apparently, I could have bought a new one but why, when I had another idea.

First, I made holes in the bottom of the bucket with a large nail (in case of rain, the buckles will not float and their metal parts will not be covered with rust). My old buckle basket didn't have holes in the bottom, so water and leaves would collect in it.

Nowy koszyk na klamerki zrobiłam z 2 litrowego plastikowego wiaderka po majonezie.
Niby mogłam kupić nowy ale po co, skoro miałam inny pomysł.

Najpierw w dnie wiaderka zrobiłam dziurki dużym gwoździem (w razie deszczu klamerki nie będą pływać a ich metalowe części nie pokryją się rdzą). Mój stary koszyk na klamerki nie miał dziurek w dnie, więc zbierała się w nim woda i liście.

Then I taped the bucket with a piece of self-adhesive wallpaper, so as not to advertise my favorite mayonnaise and so that it would look cheerful hanging on the olive tree.
Since the mayonnaise bucket is narrower at the bottom, I had to cut the wallpaper accordingly and fit it to the shape of the bucket.
At the bottom I additionally reinforced the edge of the wallpaper with thick electrical insulation adhesive tape.

Potem okleiłam wiaderko kawałkiem tapety samoprzylepnej, żeby nie reklamować mojego ulubionego majonezu i żeby wyglądało wesoło wisząc na drzewie oliwnym.
Ponieważ wiaderko po majonezie jest węższe na dole, musiałam ponacinać odpowiednio tapetę i dopasować ją do kształtu wiaderka.
Na spodzie dodatkowo wzmocniłam brzeg tapety gruba taśmą klejąca do izolacji elektrycznej.

My new buckle basket was ready and recycled quite free. I saved at least 5 euros, which is very little, but the most important thing is that I made something myself again.
From the old basket I used the pendant, it was still in pretty good condition and surprisingly it fits.

The basket looks cheerful and swings happily with the wind on the string in my garden.

Mój nowy koszyk na klamerki był gotowy i w ramach recyclingu całkiem za darmo. Zaoszczędziłam co najmniej 5 euro, to bardzo mało ale najważniejsze jest to, że znowu zrobiłam coś sama.
Ze starego koszyka wykorzystałam zawieszkę, była jeszcze w niezłym stanie i o dziwo pasuje.

Koszyk wygląda wesoło i radośnie kołysze się z wiatrem na sznurze w moim ogrodzie.
