My best friend told me before that she will adopt a puppy. She had a dog before but I don't remember what happened to him. Another dog was planned to be given to her by her friend and when I saw the picture of the puppy, he looks like the one she had before.

The puppy is set to come home on November 6 but due to some urgent decision of her friend it happened in advance. Just yesterday we met her new puppy.

Meet Tofu

Tofu is a two month old puppy. He is named as such because he is white in color. I am not sure of the breed, I think he is a shih tzu. My bestfriend kept asking me about puppies and how to take care of them because she knows I have lots of dogs at home. I keep on orienting her on what to do and how to take care of him. She sounds so new with this because it's been a long time she don't have a dog.

When Tofu is still not there at her house, she keeps on telling me that maybe she needs a dog. She enjoys my story with my daughter dog Unnie and that she wish she have her own. Having a dog is like having a kid on your own, especially if you have a puppy. It needs to be taken care of all the time. It requires full care and concern from all the puppy's needs and welfare. It is not just having a pet,but being responsible for them so that they live happy an d longer.

My daughter dog Unnie is really my daughter. We have connection. I understand her even though we have different language. What we have is a language of love. I hope my bestfriend will able to have connection with Tofu.

When she met Tofu, when he was still a little baby, she said that Tofu is the only dog that acknowledged her presence when she was looking at them inside a cage. She said she picked Tofu because of that. I agree. When we pick up Tofu yesterday, he is scared but only for less than 30 minutes. He get used to my best friend's house immediately. I can feel his happiness.

I told her everything she needs to know about puppies and she is now slowly and carefully learning from it. I think despite of the struggle, she is enjoying Tofu and Tofu is getting used to having her. She kept on sharing about Tofu on our chatroom so I know that she is happy. I hope she will not give up with Tofu when he grows as he will be active in running around the house. The puppy is very energetic and lively by the way.

Do you see how cute he is? My best friend seems to be very happy having him. I pray that she will love him just like her own son. I miss Tofu already. Right now, while I'm creating this article, my daughter dog is with me and she is sleeping on my lap.

I am just happy that my besties will join me to be a pet lover with a purpose. I love being surrounded by people who love pets.
