What can you see in Intramuros and Casa de Manila?

avatar

Today, I spent my whole afternoon strolling around Metro Manila. I have been to Intramuros a lot of times before, especially when I was in college before. Me and my officemates decided to visit Intramuros because we were burnout from work. We love to see new things and of course seeing your own history and reminiscing the past is just perfect. You enjoy it and you educate yourself too.

My pictures are the different places I saw in Intramuros while walking.

But the main point of this visits in Intramuros is a stop over in Casa Manila.

Casa Manila

Casa Manila is located in General Luna, Intramuros Manila. It is a museum that shows the lifestyle of of Spanish people when we were colonize by Spaniards before. Casa Manila is already a replica of 1850s San Nicolas House. This was reconstructed in 1980.

How to visits Casa Manila?

When we got there, we paid PHP 75.00 for entrance. It doesn't need an Identification card or vaccination card to enter. One should strictly follow the rule and that is to only step on the red carpet and do not touch anything. Taking pictures is allowed, no flash and no sound, no video too.

What You will see there?

See below pictures. It is very interesting to know the kind of lifestyle Spanish people have before. No wonder we are all influenced by it.

I was really entertained by the rich culture and lifestyle during Spanish era. I am happy too that they reconstructed those furnitures and room designs because it gave me a glimpse of what kind of things we will be seeing during the early 1900 century.

To be honest, it looks cozy because the windows are open and the windows are big, but during the night, I think I cannot stay here because I know there is some energy attach to the old furnitures. I even can feel someone is looking at me in some areas of the room. Good thing we went there very early and there are lots of visitors too.

It is good that they preserve it for the next generation though and now I become interested in knowing more. If I have a foreign friend, I will definitely recommend this to visit as it will help you to enrich your knowledge about Spaniards colonization and lifestyle. With a very affordable registration fee, this will help the tourism in the Philippines to be more popular.

More site seeing in Manila is coming for this weekend!!
