Mi experiencia tocando para uno de los mejores violinistas del mundo / My experience playing for one of the best violinists in the world

Hola queridos amigos, espero cómo siempre estén muy bien!

Antes de seguir en unos días con las publicaciones musicales diarias como he venido haciéndolo desde hace un buen tiempo, quiero hablarles de una experiencia sumamente especial para mi,

Hoy quiero hablarles de lo que fue el recibir clases con nada más y nada menos que el violinista Shlomo Mintz el año pasado. Pero antes de hablar de ello, hablaré un poco de este maestro y de sus logros.

Mintz nació en Rusia, donde su familia tuvo la decisión de emigrar a Israel donde empezaría a ver clases de violín desde los 3 años y posteriormente con Ilona Feher.

A partir de acá lograría muchos logros, como interpretar el Concierto para violin de Paganini con la Filarmónica de Israel a los apenas 13 años de edad.

Luego, vería clases con el famoso Isaac Stern y con la inminente maestra Dorothy DeLay, en Julliard.

Para resumir un poco, este violinista ha sido solista con las mejores orquestas del mundo y los mejores directores, siendo jurado además en los concursos más difíciles de violin de Europa. Nada más y nada menos.

Dicho esto, y sabiendo ya todo lo que hay detrás de esta persona, nos daremos cuenta que no es cualquier violinista y que tener la oportunidad de ver clase con él pone nervioso a cualquiera (mis nervios no eran normales jajaja)

Todo empezó porque como ya saben, actualmente vivo en Argentina y supe de un Festival de violin que lleva su nombre, el Festival Mintz, el cuál es realizado en una bella provincia llamada Tucumán, así que por curiosidad mandé videos sólo para ver que pasaba. En mi mente no quería ver clase con él, ya que sabía que muchos violinistas iban a aplicar a este festival, así que si acaso, me veía viendo clase con otros maestros del festival (que también son increíblemente buenos)

Tiempo después recibo un mail donde me aceptaron. Mi felicidad eran gigante, así que empiezo a estudiar todo lo que iba a llevarle a los maestros hasta que un día ¡BOOM!, recibo el mail con los horarios y los nombres de los maestros; Justo el primer día de clases, el primer día del festival ¡¡¡Y LA PRIMERA HORA DE CLASES!!! :

Mis nervios subieron de 500 a 100000%, una cosa increíble. Así que a partir de ese día mis días fueron ansiosos a gran manera jajaja.

Así que un día antes del día de recepción de alumnos salgo de Bs As a Tucumán, durmiendo en gran parte del viaje, el cual era por carretera.

Así que llego, me buscan y al fin toco el hotel para almorzar, estudiar y descansar un poco, entonces rápidamente pasa el resto del día y llega el día de clases.

Ese día llego temprano para dar un De arriba a bajode la pieza que le iba a interpretar a Mintz, y como cosa rara, salió con muchos detalles, así que traté de olvidar ese repaso y esperé.

En unos minutos llega el Staff de maestros, encabezado por el maestro Mintz, así que la sala automáticamente se quedó en un silencio rotundo. Dando así paso a lo que era el comienzo del Festival, a lo que este violinista decide dar unas palabras (en español y todo)

Terminada la apertura, Mintz ríe, mira a los violinistas que teníamos el instrumento y dice un cómico "Empecemos", el cual fue para mí como un "Empecemos con el sufrimiento y los nervios" jajajajaja,

Asi que subo, lo saludo, me presento y comienzo a tocar la Introducción y rondó caprichoso de Saint Saens, todo sumamente nervioso, hasta que empezamos a trabajar poco a poco y mis nervios se van calmando y comienzo a disfrutar todos esos conocimientos que el estaba dispuesto a regalarme,

Una de las cosas increíbles era el humor que tenía (no me lo esperaba), así que eso hizo que la masterclass fuese mucho más entretenida, una manera increíble de dar clases. Unos ejemplos sumamente precisos.

Fue también muy impactante cuando me pidió el violin y yo caía en cuenta que Shlomo Mimtz estaba tocando mi violin, algo totalmente loco e impactante.

Así que rápidamente la clase pasó volando, una clase que hoy por hoy sigo recordando por todo lo que aprendí y significó. Y es por eso que el día de hoy quise hablarles de esta bella y experiencia muy gratificante.

Before continuing in a few days with the daily music publications as I have been doing for a long time, I want to tell you about an extremely special experience for me,

Today I want to talk to you about what it was like to receive classes with nothing more and nothing less than the violinist Shlomo Mintz last year. But before talking about it, I will talk a little about this teacher and his achievements.

Mintz was born in Russia, where her family had the decision to emigrate to Israel where she would start to see violin lessons from the age of 3 and later with Ilona Feher.

From here he would achieve many achievements, such as playing the Paganini Violin Concerto with the Israel Philharmonic at just 13 years old.

Then, I would see classes with the famous Isaac Stern and the imminent teacher Dorothy DeLay, at Julliard.

To summarize a little, this violinist has been a soloist with the best orchestras in the world and the best conductors, being also a jury member in the most difficult violin competitions in Europe. Nothing more and nothing less.

Having said that, and knowing everything behind this person, we will realize that he is not just any violinist and that having the opportunity to see class with him makes anyone nervous (my nerves were not normal hahaha)

It all started because as you already know, I currently live in Argentina and learned of a violin Festival that bears his name, the Mintz Festival, which is held in a beautiful province called Tucumán, so out of curiosity I sent videos just to see what happened. In my mind I didn't want to see class with him, since I knew that many violinists were going to apply to this festival, so if anything, I would see myself watching class with other festival teachers (who are also incredibly good)

Later I receive an email where they accepted me. My happiness was huge, so I started to study everything that was going to take the teachers until one day BOOM !, I receive the email with the schedules and the names of the teachers; Just the first day of school, the first day of the festival AND THE FIRST HOUR OF CLASS !!! :

My nerves went up from 500 to 100000%, an amazing thing. So from that day on my days were very anxious hahaha.

So a day before the reception day of students I leave Bs As to Tucumán, sleeping for a large part of the trip, which was by road.

So I arrive, they look for me and finally I touch the hotel to have lunch, study and rest a little, then the rest of the day quickly passes and the day of classes arrives.

That day I arrive early to give a Top to bottom of the piece that I was going to play Mintz, and as a strange thing, it came out with many details, so I tried to forget that review and I waited.

In a few minutes the Staff of teachers arrives, headed by the teacher Mintz, so the room automatically remained in a resounding silence. Thus giving way to what was the beginning of the Festival, to which this violinist decides to give a few words (in Spanish and everything)

After the opening, Mintz laughs, looks at the violinists who had the instrument and says a comic "Let's start", which was for me like "Let's start with the suffering and the nerves" hahahahaha,

So I go up, I greet him, I introduce myself and I start to play the Introduction and he was capricious of Saint Saens, all extremely nervous, until we start working little by little and my nerves calm down and I start to enjoy all that knowledge that he was willing to give me,

One of the amazing things was the humor he had (I wasn't expecting it), so that made the masterclass so much more entertaining, an amazing way to teach. Some extremely precise examples.

It was also very impressive when he asked me for the violin and I realized that Shlomo Mintz was playing my violin, something totally crazy and shocking.

So quickly the class flew by, a class that I still remember today for all I learned and meant. And that's why today I wanted to tell you about this beautiful and very rewarding experience.
