Me llamo Greidy y esta es mi introducción a HIVE

Mi nombre es Greidy Castellón Vience pero mis amigos prefieren decirme cariñosamente Grei. Nací un 19 de enero de 2005, en el hospital González Coro, La Habana.

My name is Greidy Castellón Vience but my friends prefer to call me affectionately Grei. I was born on January 19th in the year 2005 at González Coro hospital, Havana.

De pequeña me consideraba una niña bastante activa. Me gustaba mucho la música y cantar junto a mi hermana/que por cierto hoy por hoy es mi cantante preferida😂/, pero lo que más me conmovía era el baile, por lo que mi sueño era ser bailarina. Por ciertas situaciones no pude recurrir nunca a clases de baile, pero en tercer grado ingresé al conservatorio de música por piano básico, en los que duré dos años ejerciéndolo hasta que en quinto grado cambié de ese instrumento para flauta.

As a little girl I considered myself to be quite an active child. I loved music and singing with my sister, who is still my favourite singer today😂/, but what moved me the most was dancing, so my dream was to become a dancer. Due to certain situations I was never able to take dance classes, but in third grade I entered the music conservatory for basic piano, where I spent two years playing it until I changed from that instrument to the flute in fifth grade.

La flauta es un instrumento muy melódico, tiene un sonido dulce y brillante que coincide muy bien con mi persona, por lo que me sentía atraída hacia ella y fue el motivo de mi cambio. Al día de hoy llevo 8 años estudiando ese instrumento, curso el tercer año de nivel Medio Superior y espero graduarme con honores en mi cuarto año como flautista profesional, profesora del instrumento y de práctica de conjunto.

The flute is a very melodic instrument, it has a sweet and bright sound that matches me very well, so I was attracted to it and that was the reason for my change. Today I have been studying the instrument for 8 years, I am in my third year of upper secondary school and I hope to graduate with honours in my fourth year as a professional flautist, teacher of the instrument and ensemble practice.

Mi niñez fue bastante sacrificada a consecuencia de mi carrera, ya que a partir de los 8 años comencé a estudiar mucho, tanto los días entre semana como los fines, asistiendo a clases particulares que era necesario por las asignaturas de música. Pero no por eso dejé de destacarme en la escolaridad, era una niña muy aplicada, responsable y me gustaba mucho la escuela, participaba en concursos, actividades y como miembro del colectivo.

My childhood was quite sacrificed as a result of my career, because from the age of 8 I started to study a lot, both on weekdays and at weekends, attending private lessons that were necessary for music subjects. But that didn't stop me from excelling in school, I was a very dedicated and responsible child and I liked school very much, I participated in competitions, activities and as a member of the collective.

Por la parte escuelística musical también me he destacado, he sido partícipe de varios conciertos de música de jazz, cubana y clásica, asímismo cantando en diferentes funciones.

On the musical school side I have also excelled, I have taken part in several concerts of jazz, Cuban and classical music, as well as singing in different functions.

Personalmente me considero una chica bastante sociable, familiar y natural. Mis colores preferidos son el negro y el morado. Me gusta compartir entre familia y con amistades, me gustan los animales, la poesía, la psicología y el deporte.

Personally I consider myself to be a quite sociable, familiar and natural girl. My favourite colours are black and purple. I like to share with family and friends, I like animals, poetry, psychology and sports.

Para mí la poesía es el arte en el que mejor puedes expresarte, ya que te permite reflejar con tus palabras lo que sientes, dándole al perceptor un punto de vista y una perspectiva diferente de la realidad. Disfruto mucho de ella tanto para consumirla como para realizarla. La relaciono mucho con la música, puesto que las dos me apasionan, y juntas crean sensaciones indescriptibles a la percepción humana. Y en cuanto al deporte, me gusta mantener mi cuerpo en forma, por lo que hago ejercicios y tengo varias metas sobre este.

For me, poetry is the art in which you can express yourself best, as it allows you to reflect with your words what you feel, giving the perceiver a different point of view and perspective of reality. I enjoy it a lot, both to consume it and to perform it. I relate it a lot to music, since I am passionate about both, and together they create indescribable sensations to the human perception, and as for sports, I like to keep my body in shape, so I do exercises and I have several goals about it.

A pesar de mi recorrido y amor por la música, no he renunciado a mi sueño de bailar, así que más adelante pienso recurrir a ciertas clases y entrar en una que otra compañía, puesto a que me han comentado varias personas que tengo buen porte y potencial para el mismo. Asímismo como me pasa en el tema de la actuación, creo que es un arte fantástica y bastante compleja, ya que no todos tenemos la capacidad de interpretar personajes múltiples con tanto realismo. Sí, soy músico poeta y loca😂😂😂/

Despite my journey and love for music, I haven't given up my dream of dancing, so later on I plan to take some classes and join one or another company, since I have been told by several people that I have a good demeanour and potential for it. Likewise as it happens to me in the subject of the performance, I believe that it is a fantastic and quite complex art, since not all of us have the capacity to interpret multiple characters with so much realism. Yes, I am a musician, poet and crazy😂😂😂😂
