Borderland - original painting

avatar

Sometimes I decide to paint over a painting which I considered finished. Borderland is such an example. I painted this in 1993 during my study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. I was never really satisfied with the result, and then, finally, I went over it in 2009. I'm still not happy with the painting but screw it.

Well it's amazing and I love the additions, but I think as artists we aren't ever really 'happy' with the final result and I feel like nothing I've done is ever really done, we could work our entire lives on ONE piece haha. Lovely @gric
