A stroll, from Iglesia El Rosario to the Metropolitan Cathedral. San Salvador.

It is only a short stroll of just under a mile to the Metropolitan Cathedral, from El Rosario. let's people watch and snap away as we walk. thankfully I am one of those fortunate folk who can multi-task.

The San Salvador volcano, standing at 6,200 ft, dominates the skyline the last major eruption was in 1917 so maybe the 1.1 million residents can sleep easy.

Or not.

But judging by the vintage of that place, they may believe they are still in 1917.

cheers @nanixxx , you know, all across mainland Central America there were lots and lots of shoe shine boys, which I found fascinating as they seem to have disappeared in Europe

Architecture depicts age of town, old but clean except the rats on wings, agree not a bird one should entice into cities or towns.

If you know where to go safely in any city you may be OK, countryside is beautiful, many very friendly people in rural regions. Sadly not in as clean anywhere where humans are!
