The creator, Jovita Aukštikalnytė-Varkulevičienė has since the turn of the century been volunteering in a psychiatric hospital, giving painting classes to patients and creating a series of sensitive portraits.


Intentionally leaving out recognisable facial features or specific surroundings she, the artist, is attempting to draw in the viewer, to spark their imagination of what they see and feel, says the blurb
