Let's look at some sculptures. MoMA Vilnius.

I personally enjoy these 3D bits of art often more so than a 2D painting. Are they more creative? more organic? Dunno, I am but a mere observer. So, come observe with me and form your own opinions.

"Seated Woman" A bronze and granite figure created in 1993 by a prominent Lithuanian artist, Stanislovas Kuzma. A very tactile looking piece

Andrius Erminas, a Lithuanian artist a few of his pieces, this one especially so, entitled "Face", the composition of these lists... rust!

"From inside" and "Gloves", which is very clever as the boxing gloves are human brains, nice aside to the dangers of sucjh a barbaric sport

A contemporary ceramic sculpture titled "Banga" which translates as Wave, by Lithuanian artist Eglė Einikytė-Narkevičienė.said to resemble a wave or flowing fabric.
I thought it was a slug

Hanging freely a skeleton casting its shadow said to "evoke a sense of fragility and metamorphosis".

"Congratulations. Knowing the Difference Between Intelligence and Strength, and Which Gives You the Most Pleasure".

A couple from a series entitled Trees and people by Edvardas Racevičius

A hand extends from the clouds, religious symbolism by the sculptor, Ona Grigaitė.
Ooooo must be the omnipotent being

A hand holds another hand by the wrist, another one by Ona, this one is said to symbolise another OT fairy story, this one is "god's" hand holding the wrist of abraham who was ready to murder his son to prove his faith.
So much for peaceful, loving, caring, fucking religion.

Entitled "perfect forms" it is a collection of boobies

"Perfect Forms"? That is taking poetic licence as far into the void as is possible

"Jacket" from 2013, made out of Lithuanian documents, primarily university certificates and documents. It carries this age piece of advice " not designed for typical daily wear". I think it is quite stylish, probably wont see it in Primarni anytime soon though.

I love it. The boobs are really strange, but the rest is just fantastic. Thanks for these photos @grindle!
Cheers @erikah I would never have normally posted about arty stuff, but it is due to reading and enjoying your visits to this sort of place that inspired me
Now this is the good news I want to see on Hive! You're not the only one and I could not be more happy. There were others who got inspired by my posts and started posting about art! This is why I love Hive!
Cheers to you too and hope this post will not be the last one of this type from you 😉
Cheers @erikah , I have a few to upload
These are very interesting ,Thanks for photos
You're welcome
Hive’s latest $HIVE flash‑pump is pure circus, the hype train’s got more smoke than a busted vape. Everyone’s shouting “to the moon” while the market sits on a busted tire, and the same old meme‑lords are cashing out like it’s a payday heist. I’m calling out @mikej_foam for front‑row bragging—your hype‑factory ain’t changing the math, bro. 🤡🚀 The cheap talk masks the cold‑hard reality: liquidity drains faster than a busted faucet, and the community’s left scrubbing the floor.
Poll: Do you think the next “big move” is genuine growth or another smoke‑screen? Agree or nah?
You’ve brought us a very distinctive and interesting selection of art; all the sculptures are unique, I’ve never seen anything quite like them. I really like the one that looks like a wave, and also the piece in shades of green that looks like a woman inside something undulating or made of fabric.
Although they’re all marvellous, the second one is sombre and intriguing. There’s so much style and artistry in all of them, they certainly aren’t easy to create. It’s brilliant that you’ve brought these pieces for us to admire; I’ve loved them. It’s always good to see different kinds of art and learn from it. Thank you so much, and a big hug!🤗
I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project! Check out our Reading Suggestions posts!
