An artwork entitled "Sorrows" by Lithuanian artist Stasys Eidrigevičius.


It was created between 1989 -90 made out of different bits of wood and tress and twigs and branches...yup you get the idea.

Said to "focus on the human face as a mask, exploring themes of persona, ego, and vulnerability"

The artist flogs his stuff for thousands of euros, I am sure I saw something similar for sale in my local garden centre the other day for about 20 quid

Interesting masks, but I'm wondering who's paying thousands of euros for these.
Well it is a bit like payingmillions for a damien Hirst load of crap or a Tracy Emin effort. That is the thing about art that I will never get my head around
